So I took the car to another dealer on Wednesday and the car was fixed by Thursday. The second dealer said the water pump impeller just self-destructed. They replaced it, performed a pressure test, and everything looks good. Drove the car yesterday and today and everything seems/feels fine...
From what I could tell it seemed to come from what I think is water pump area, near the airbox. However, underneath the car the puddle of coolant was more offset under the engine as opposed to under the water pump.
There was a huge puddle of reddish coolant under the car the day after.
Last weekend I was driving normally when suddenly I started getting engine coolant low, high temperature, check engine, and power reduced warnings on my 2017 Mustang Ecoboost. I pulled over within 2-3 minutes once it was safe to do so and shut the car off. Later, I added some coolant and drove...
5.8s is my best so far. Base Ecoboost A/T with 3.15 gears. "S" mode and manually shifting at 5,500RPMs. Launched at about 1,800RPMs. Gently rolled into throttle instead of mashing it. Stayed in 2nd all the way to 60.
Just to be clear, if there's an engine issue AFTER the 36mo. / 36000mi. FP limited warranty, the engine issue may not be covered by Ford if it is determined to have been caused by the FRP tune?
Anyone have a minor, intermittent vibration that can be felt in the steering wheel and seat while the A/C blower fan speed changes especially when idling right after a cold start?
The pulsating vibration/shudder appears to occur even if the A/C is off. It's not major and it's barely audible. I don't know if it's just part of normal 4-cyl engine noise/feel or something more.
I have the base ecoboost so no automatic climate control and I have not been on the phone when...
I just bought a new base a/t ecoboost a couple of weeks back and it has about 700 miles on it now. Loving the car so far but there are a couple of things that have been worrying me.
I noticed earlier this week that the A/C blower fan seems to change speed on its own as if I was changing the...
I'm from the Miami area and have definitely noticed a lot of S550s around. Doesn't bother me at all though, people can drive/own/rent what they want and as long as they enjoy it that's what matters.
I enjoy my S550 regardless of how many other people around me are driving one or which exact...
Glad I found this community! I'm a first-time Mustang owner with a 17' white ecoboost a/t. Loving it so far, feels and drives great. I'm in love with the exterior design of the car and can't wait to break it in for a little more spirited driving.
