I must be crazy. I thought I read on page 1 two people saying they some ding (I thought it was the one you get when opening the doors) was REALLY LOUD after changing this setting. It must be another setting in another thread.
Thanks, that was it.
That's a very short list of changes, and aside from the piped-in noise, nothing I consider worth getting the tool for. Are there others not in that file? I'll scan the sticky thread.
Did I read in another thread that some of the exhaust noise in the cabin is being piped in via the speakers, like the Raptor? I thought I did, but can't remember where I saw it.
Maybe it was the OBD-II tweak thread. It is something I'd want to disable, and I'm assuming that would be the only...
Thanks all for correcting me about the Suntek warranty. Looking back at my notes, I had written 10 years - not sure why I had 5 in my head when I wrote that post.
I'm sue every product has detractors who are not satisfied, but you certainly seem to be in the minority.
I'm planning to get the front of the car wrapped. My layman's understanding (I don't normally do PPF) is that Xpel (10 yr warranty) is a little tougher, but the Suntek (5 yr warranty) is better optically and recommended for dark and/or bright colors.
Is that fairly accurate?
What would you...
Haha, I like this. How much is a non-R front splitter? If the cost isn't too high, I could just say "F-it" and just replace it every time it starts to look like shit.
I'm confused - do you need to move/drop the transmission or not to install the MGW?
I don't have access to a lift, nor do I want to do anything with the transmission, so I'd assumed I'd have to have an MGW installed at a shop somewhere.
How do you like the seats? I would love the Recaros, but I'm not a small guy at 215 and in particular it was impossible to get comfortable testing them out in a GT (not sure if it is the exact same, but close enough) due to my concealed carry piece.
I like convenience over electronics for a...
Ugh, seriously?
I can deal with a light "drag" where it just sort of glides over the concrete - I'm not worried about the bottom. What I don't want is to hit the front edge and catch or flex the splitter enough to risk dislodging it or causing significant damage.
Not sure if you can...
Do you guys with driveways on an incline have problems getting into the driveway without tearing up the front splitter? I can't tell if the 350 would be better or worse than my 911s which don't have a real splitter but do have an lip along the bumper that would give a light scrape.
Coming in...
Neither. As I said, this is a 2017 car. It has the convenience package. I found a similar car, similar price, with the electronics package. As much as I like the Recaros, I'm leaning towards convenience. My wife would appreciate the heated seats, and I don't fit so well in the Recaros with...
I'll ask if the recall was already done (I'm assuming it was). Any other questions I should ask? I may be buying this long distance and driving out to pick it up.
