That's just my luck. What is it with all of these A/C problems. Is it one vendor making them for multiple vehicles? Kinda like the Takata Air Bag issues I guess..... I'd rather deal with a condenser coil than an evaporator. At least the dash won't need to be yanked for that fix action.
I did too. I went straight to My GMC Dealer and bought a Brand New Sierra 1500 SLT Premium Plus 4x4. I got out before the resale went to crap on my car. Plus GMC was offering over $10,000 off the Truck. No more Ford products for me. I'm done! My next sports car will be a Grand Sport Corvette.
Yes it does. This should not be happening to cars so young. So the air box contains the heater and evap cores. It's not designed to come apart. The folks in that video are having to drill through the plastic air box to get to the core. This is a shitty design. Ford is not only screwing...

Some folks have had good results and others not so good. I thought it was a bad dream when the service tech told me the dash had to come out. Everything turned out as well as can be expected in my case. I do feel that...
There's no way in Hell that they can replace an evap core in one day. Look at mine when it was in the shop. It took them two weeks to do mine but granted the tech was taking his time. I'm sure it can be done in a few days with a couple of really good techs teaming up.
Here's a link to...
OOOH Yeah... Take it back.... I know it sucks for you, but it's best that they get all the problems fixed before the warranty expires. I'd go straight to the Service Manager. If you get no love, call the Ford Customer Service number in your owner's manual...
Find out who you spoke to about your car. Have them call my dealer. Their information is on the invoice that I attached in an earlier post. They will certainly be able to get him up to speed on this real issue.
The service tech came out. I explained that my A/C was blowing warm air. They said it was an evap core without even blinking an eye. The service tech didn't even stick his hand in my car to check the temperature. I dropped the car off the next morning and they gave me a rental and was on my...
I got my car back yesterday. Everything seems to be good so far. My service tech took a picture of my car when they had it apart. I'm including it in this post. I'm also including the invoice that shows the latest evap core part number.
My service tech called me this afternoon. She said they're still working on my car. She said it may be finished by Wednesday or Thursday. I don't want to rush them, but dammit I'd really like to have my Pony back. It's my daily driver and I really miss it. I just installed the Ford Racing...
At this point, from some of the lame excuses that FOMOCO Service Tech's are giving their customer's, I'm not sure of anything. It is blatantly obvious that the 2015-2016 Mustangs have an inordinate number of evaporator core failures. I can only assume at this rate as the warmer climate is upon...
So how does it get used up while it's cycling through a completely sealed system? I'm amazed at some of the BS that these FOMOCO service people are tell their customers. WTF??
You are inhaling R134 refrigerant. I'd suggest taking the car back to the dealer and explain to them that your Evaporator Core is defective. Have them look into TSB #SSM-45815, NHTSA ID #10078988
