The reason the 15-17 TB won't work on 18-up is that Ford switched to a digital throttle body motor controller for the 18-up Mustangs. The 19-up Ranger also shares the same TB and those went digital. The 15-17 is shared with Fusion Sport and I believe Focus RS and those are all analog.

The only dyno graphs I've seen show the BBK adds 10 to 20 ftlb at the low RPM range where the 3.3/3.5/3.7 would benefit due to the torque dip at 3000 to 3500 RPM. It would help with launches. At the high end the TB itself was worth 5 hp at most.

Thanks for taking the time to do all of that! I took measurements of my 2018 Explorer airbox and its 79mm ID at the smallest part and then goes to 89mm at the hose that attaches to the stock TB. So the TB itself is definitely a restriction at least on the Explorer. Our upper intake does not...

FWIW Ford made the NA 3.5/3.7 speed density like EcoBoost (no MAF sensor anymore) after 2017.

Is yours set up to use only E85 or is it supposed to adapt between straight gas and E85 blends? Reason I ask is that Jessie says he/PD Tuning only sells E85 blend tunes/ethanol tunes. Which I'm assuming is that he or PD Tuning sets the stoich to match whatever blend of E85 the customer is...
