Rattle at light throttle 2 to 3 k rpm from day one. First oil change at 5500 miles, second at 11,000.
Tuned w cai, longtubes at 4250 miles. Also put in 4.09 gears, mgw race spec, it's a manual pp1 car. Would run e85 if readily available. Currently running 93. Now 12,200 miles.
No problems, no...
I have an 18 pp1 manual. Have had the 2 to 3 k rattle since day one. It diminishes with a bit of throttle imput. I have no oil consumption, and didn't do the first oil change till 5500 miles. Got on the car after 1200 miles. Lund tune and longtubes at 4500 miles. I drag it sometimes and...
I have an 18, installed mgw a couple months ago. I had good pin adjustment from mgw, checked twice during install.
I have been locked out of second a few times. I feel each time that's happened my timing was off or I short stroked the clutch pedal. Being more diligent on clutching a little...
12.6 @ 113. Car needs driver mod for sure. This is the first manual I've run at the track and my launch technique sucks. My sixty ft was 1.9. I definitely can leave harder but am cautious of breaking a half shaft with drag radials. I need to get bias plies. There is a good bit more in the car...
I have 4.09 in my 18 pp manual. They make the car more snappy. I think if your drag racing the 3.73 is better as I was crossing finish in third at 7200 +. With 4.09 I shift to fourth about 150 ft before finish.
For autocross, the 4.09 is really good, keeps rpms between 4 & 7 k through most...
I did roadwire leather in my 18 3 weeks ago. Love them. They are a competitive company to katskin. Both are quality products. Had it done at classic soft trim in Tampa FL.
That good for a pp1 a10 car. I have an 18 pp1 manual. Love it. Has the piston slap sound when cold but only at light throttle between 2 and 3 k rpm. Is quiet after normal temp reached. I pull it hard when I can, rev it to 7500 when I do, and have 8100 trouble free miles. I had a 17 gt base auto...
If anyone has this package on their car in West Central or North Central Florida, I would gladly come to your location and buy you some fuel for a short ride along.
I would really like to feel the firmness before dropping coin.
Thanks
Lester
Glad it helped you. The passenger side was definitely more intense than the driver side. We dropped a stub length wrench down between the header tubes. Wedged itself just ahead of the collector. Used a very large zip tie, worming it between the pipes to slide it high enough to grab it outta...
Did this exact swap. The magna flow is about 5 inches shorter. I just cut two lengths of 2.5 inch stainless pipe and band clamped it to make up the difference. That way I can swap them if I want to hear the thunder.
I have an 18 with longtubes.
To clarify, iron is brittle period, when compared to more malliable metals such as steel, austinetic stainless steel and red metals like bronze or copper. Iron can be somewhat malliable as different alloys of iron are available. That's why it springs just a bit. Go past it's elastic limit and it...
I assume you're talking '18 and newer.
The speedometer self adjusts.
I went from 3:73 to 4:09 in a manual '18 and within 1/2 mile it was spot on to my uniden r3.
I would question all aspects of the intake install. If everything was proper then maybe tune. I certainly would want a third knowelageable party to check out the tune file. That sucks man. Best of luck to you.
If you have the manual trans in an 18 you will not be disappointed with the 4.09. I changed to 4.09 3 month ago and love them. Cool thing about the 18 manual ( I don't know about the auto) is the speedometer self learns for the change. Within a half mile mine was spot on. I verified this with a...
I have a friend who has a 14 gt mt82 procharged. We installed 3.73 in his car and it comes out of the hole really good. With that mt82 I would not go any shorter as your 1-2 shift is going to come quickly, but will be fun as hell when you let her rev. I have 4.09 in my 18 mt82g4 and they are...
I just got one last week. Sent datalog last night, had response this morning. Everything spot on, no revisions needed.
It was however a simple Cai and long tubes on an 18 pp manual . Really woke the car up.
This is my first experience with Lund and so far service is really good. Feedback has...
