I don't have any desire to run flex fuel but it is a nice option to have should things change. PCMtec looks to be a much better option. The PCM write time alone makes it the desirable choice.
Do you use a J2534 interface cable or something else?
The MSD works in a similar way, not based on TPS rather on MAP. MSDView has a user configurable Pump Voltage vs MAP table. I am assuming the MSD box behaves the same way the JMS box does when low voltage is commanded.
It is encouraging to know that your DW400 has been paired with a JMS box...
I am comfortable modding the tune, I just need to decide on an interface.
Based on your recommendation in another thread I had started looking at the pcmtec product. I have a MPVI3 somewhere in my toolbox so I would just need to find it and purchase 2 licenses for it. However, given your...
When I got my whipple kit I got an MSD fuel pump voltage booster with it. I'm not a big fan of fuel pump voltage boosters so I installed a DW400 and called it a day. After reading about some of the fueling issues others are having I'm revisiting my decision. I haven't pulled logs but based on...
The whipple calibration file can be modified by HPT? I had presumed the calibration was locked by whipple. I am mostly happy with the whipple calibration but would like to change a few things, some of which you have mentioned in your post.
Respectfully, if Baer brakes signify track car your bar for a track car is pretty low.
I have a set of wheels that fit the car just fine. An inherited set of wheels hardly qualifies as a screw up.
Thanks for the recommendations of SC3 or PS4S.
Thanks for the recommendations. Based on the information shared in this thread I am not sure that a 19X11 combo makes the most sense given what I already have and how the car is used. If I do decide to invest in track wheels the 19X11 Apex wheels would be my first choice.
I think the P6GR wheels look great on the S550, sadly they don't have more options in terms of width and offsets. I never really cared for the NT05s, even when they were brand new.
Notionally speaking, how many hard miles does it take to justify a set of hot 200TW tires?
Thanks for the...
The car is currently sitting on Project 6GR Seven 20X10F and 20X11R wheels wrapped in Nitto NT05s. It's been a little while since I've looked at the tire sizes and if memory serves 275/40/20F and 315/35/20R. The tires are 8 years old and I need to make some decisions.
I have not been happy...
Wheel manufacturers provide a range of acceptable widths for tire size. What I'm learning is what you stated farther down in your response as it relates to the ideal wheel width for a given tire size.
This car is not my daily driver, in fact it's a car I drive very seldom, so I don't...
Thanks for the additional detail.
Let me ask you guys this...is it worth the headache to go from a 295 on a 20x10 wheel to a 305 on a 19x10.5 or 19x11 wheel if my objective is not squeeze out every 10th on a lap?
Can anybody using Ohlins R&T coilovers running 19X10.5 wheels tell me if spacers are needed with a 45mm offset. I inherited a set of 19x10.5 et45 wheels with 305 tires and they are hitting the strut body in front. Is this to be expected? If not, what adjustments should I make to get the...
I've decided to sell my M-6675-M52S GT500 oil pan kit. The oil pan was intended for my coyote swap fox body project so I also installed MMR billet oil pump gears as well. After looking at how tight the compartment is I ended up going with a swap pan to avoid any fitment issues. I had planned...
