Weighing in late, but I find the complete opposite driving a Mustang coming from a VW GTI. People are constantly waving or giving me a thumbs up, and people move out of the left lane when I want to pass. It feels like everyone loves the Mustang!
When I drove my GTI people (particularly older...
I feel the same way reading this thread. It's like an emotional roller coaster. I feel like I'd appreciate the better low-end torque from the PP2 as realistically most of my driving is below 3500 RPM, but honestly it seems like aftermarket is just a better option.
The PP2 isn't a bad value...
Why are you revving above 4,000 in neutral? I wouldn't worry about it tbh. I feel like the Coyote sounds "coarse" in general, but in kind of a lovable way.
Well for whatever its worth the other bolts all came off with no issue and installation was otherwise smooth.
I'm just leaving the sheared bolt alone for now and only using the front-most mounting bolt on the steeda rail on that side (so missing the second of four bolts on that side). Hopefully...
FWIW you just plunged me into a spiral of uncertainty and self doubt. Am I crazy? Did I really turn it the wrong way? I got out a screwdriver and tightened all the loose door and drawer handles in the house. I even pulled one screw out entirely and compared the thread pattern to the threads on...
Whoops. I was removing one of the OEM underside chassis bolts to attach my rails, and it wouldn't budge with my standard size socket wrench. No problem, I thought - I'll use an 18" breaker bar. Nope! After applying a generous amount of torque, the bolt sheared off and now I'm sort of stuck. (pic...
I switched from a Stage 2 Mk 7 GTI which I get is not AWD but it was putting down similar power to the STI. Let me just say a turbo 4 will never match the immediacy and low end torque of the 5.0, especially dragging around a heavy AWD system. At least with the VW you get a halfway decent...
Agree with the buyout and sell thing, that will probably be cheaper. The dealer could really screw you over when you turn it in. With the tune you've irreversibly voided the powertrain warranty on a car you don't own. And they're definitely going to replace the exhaust with a new OEM...
Another converted n00b / lurker here, and sorry to hijack off this, but when running the spacers and bringing the wheel out flush with the wheel well, does this increase the risk of road debris and rocks getting thrown back against the fender and causing paint damage?
I've seen some awkward...
