Mine started wearing through at the driver's heel within 2,000 miles. I like the mats, so I decided it would probably be a yearly purchase. I haven't pulled the trigger, yet.
I have 20,000+ on mine and rarely add oil between changes. I took my first road trip when it had about 5,000 miles and it used about a quart every 800 miles and kind of scared me. It has leveled out, now, and doing well.
Hopefully, they know it's a Mustang. If they don't know a Mustang from a Camaro, I say, "Mustang." If they want to know what kind of Mustang it is, I say, "GT350."
I had a short list of colors/combinations I wanted and a list of those I did NOT want. If you have a color in mind that absolutely trips your trigger, be mindful of that, but I would caution against making it your one-and-only.
All good suggestions, IMHO. My wife had Planter fasciitis and used the soup can technique, which seemed to work. Now, as soon as she gets out of bed, she stretches her calf muscles.
I'll throw out an option. You might consider Kenosha, Wisconsin and taking the Metra commuter train which takes you into Chicago (Ogilvie Transportation Center). The taxes are significantly lower in Wisconsin as well as housing cost.
