I've kept the standard mufflers on mine and replaced the resonator with a custom H pipe - gives it a nice old school burble which is slightly louder if you give it but not drastically louder (from what I can recall when I first did it).
I'm now also running a K&N intake as well, so it kinda...
I'm not even sure how all you guys are managing below 20L per 100km
Mine's a daily driver (20km round trip to and from work) in normal traffic conditions (i.e. not stop start, bumper to bumper traffic) with a good thrash every free opportunity and I don't get anything less than 21.5L...
I came from a MY15 WRX and I noticed this too... the best one was the rear parcel shelf rattle that reared it's head after 5000 kms. :p
I've only had my Stang for about 2 months and have only traveled 1200 kms, so it's still early days in terms of rattles and squeaks.
I've never seen one in the flesh before - is the colour like an olive?
Is it similar to this colour in the last Honda Prelude -
Eucalpytus Green Pearl?
Love the idea of this one... I often leave the car running outside and lock the door whilst it's warming up but hate the annoying wake the neighbours up honking (as if the cold start and throb from the exhaust didn't already)
Likewise, I had my exhaust guy fabricate a custom H-pipe - it's definitely the best bang for buck upgrade.
Even with the stock mufflers on the car, the Stang roars like an old school muscle car :headbang:
Finally got around to getting my Eibach Sportline lowering springs installed today (I actually bought them back when I ordered the car)
The guys at Eurohaus Prestige did the install - figured if they were good enough to work on Italian exotics and other high end Euros, then they were good...
Get it right... it's called a Mustang Shooting Brake :p
And no, I wouldn't buy one, but I wouldn't mind it if my loved ones delivered me to my final resting place in it (in black, it's pretty much a hearse)
All these blue 'Stangs... makes me think I should have gone either DIB or LB instead of my Magnetic - very nice!
Drewbo - white stripes would go well on yours to match the white plate
Spotted two Stangs on Church St, Parramatta this morning on my way to work - a red and a grey.
Gave the thumbs up and waved hello at the driver of the red one as I was turning off
Sweet as!
Been looking at getting a shift knob and low and behold, the one I was looking at, you guys have on sale!
Black w/white stripes Running Pony Logo one ordered.
Thanks!
K&N Series 63 Cold Air Intake
Spent an hour or so today installing a K&N Series 63 Air Charger Performance Cold Air Intake - now the 'Stang really roars! :headbang:
A relatively easy installation, but I found that the provided instruction leaflet was somewhat lacking in detail in certain...
Clutch Pedal Extension
Installed a Clutch Pedal Extension which I bought off Malibu1 (nice guy!).
The device extends your clutch pedal approximately 1.5 inches closer to you, which doesn't seem like much, but it is.
This allows you to sit further back, which greatly improves the driving...
