That's the 'after' photo. He wasn't going to charge me, but that didn't sit right with me, so I paid him $100. It was quite a bit worse before he started. If I thought it would be worth it, I would try another company. Thanks for the suggestion. It is almost invisible when the car is in the...
Thanks for the reply, There are no spiders or cracks. It was hit at an angle by a motorcycle tire (mine). You're correct, it is very hard to see, but you know how we Mustang owners are. When I get time, I'll try a decal. They're not expensive, so there isn't much to lose.
Hello again. I got a small dent in the lower passenger side door panel that straddles the raised area. I had a mobile dent removal guy come out, and he was able to remove most of it. He said he couldn't remove the remaining portion due to its location. It isn't big enough to pay big bucks to a...
I replaced it because it wouldn't hold a charge. After a long drive it read 12.4, but it decreased to 11.3 the next day. Even though it always started fine, it wasn't worth taking a chance on it. Since it is my only car, I don't want the hassle of using a tender all the time. Thanks for the reply.
When I got up this morning the charger showed a charge rate of almost zero. So I removed the charger. However the voltage on the car's gauge showed only 11.7V with the charger removed. I think it should be replaced. That's too low for a freshly-charged battery.
I connected it to my battery charger and it began to charge at 2 amps. Two hours later it is charging at 1 amp. I'll leave it on overnight and check it in the morning. I'm not sure what the float rate should be.
BTW the winter climate here is cool (40s overnight and 70s in the daytime).
The AAA tech told me the battery is OK. He suggested driving more on freeways to keep it well charged. Thank you COVID. I connected it to my charger, and I'll leave it overnight.
Thanks for the replies.
2017 GT. Before I start the car, the battery voltage on the car's gauge reads less than 11V. It is a bit sluggish to start, but it does start. After starting, the gauge reads around 14V. Could my battery be going dead after only three years? It seems like a short battery life. Thanks.
Is there any reason to take the car to a dealer for the 10,000 mile service? They always have a long line, and it can take several hours for simple things, so I'd like to take it somewhere else.
I hid my front plate on the garage wall. It has never been on the car, and when I was stopped for speeding, the cop didn't mention it. When I ordered the car, I told the dealer if they drilled the bumper for a plate, they can keep it. I'd estimate about 1/3 of vehicles around here don't have...
When beginning a trip and after entering a POI, the voice announces the usual "obey all traffic laws, yada yada", but there are no further announcements. I checked settings, and it is set correctly. Where do I go from here?
Thanks.
