Less than 100mi on the road. Taken off because I raised the suspension back up. The top nuts were used for removal and were discarded, but they are just normal nylon lock nuts. $100 picked up in the Bay Area or plus shipping to the lower 48.
Not yet... Mine has become more frequent, so maybe if it fails one day, I'll do a full clutch job. Until then, definitely let me know if you find anything!
I’m personally more fine with the rake than the effect it brings to the rear camber. This ride height makes it hard to dial in more rear camber for performance driving.
TBH this is so annoying... Who would've looked this up before buying OE upgrade springs?
With this ride height it's hard to put the rear camber even pass -1.5deg. I'll probably also go SP083 if I didn't see anything wrong with the rear arms themselves.
Cheers!
Sorry for reviving this thread, but I have also seen this lack of rear drop. The stance of my car is exactly the same as yours. I'm on the latest revision of the track spring. M-5300-YA
Actually, could you do me a favor or provide a data point (probably first on the internet as well) by measuring the AoA of the zl1 with a level meter? Something like the measure app on iPhone is also fine!
Hmm, it's a bummer that it has a positive angle of attack... I thought zl1 mentioned that this would not happen with a splitter extension. I guess the only way forward is to replace the entire belly pan?
I read through the entire thing man, and what an amazing build thread! Actually, your photos with the zl1addon splitter extension might be some of the only few across the internet that are shot from an angle with little distortion.
I want to ask you about the splitter rod actually. Before you...
Guys, when you replace the hose, maybe with the Steeda kit, remember to tighten the clamp on the firewall side, with a proper clamp! It might be a PITA, but DO IT!
The factory hose is normally loose over the reservoir side, so even when air gets in when the fluid is hot, it'll not reach the...
But again, springs has to pair with shocks. If you go this route, I’d personally also pick up the ford shocks for sub $600 easily. B6 is tuned for stock springs right?
I absolutely love these tbh. I was running the same ford track shocks with a linear spring set from another vendor, and that was way worse than how the car drives and behaves now.
The rear spring is practically linear springs and a spacer. It maintains the ride height while giving some serious...
