Ok so here is the dealer putting out feelers to let someone else enjoy this car. I've done with it what I wanted to, and made my dream car, and its a lot of fun but I don't have the time to take it racing or enjoy it how it should be.
This wasn't a slap a kit on an be done with it. I tried to...
Sometimes they are, believe it or not when people have a cheaper cost of living they will work for less money, as someone who is in the South and not NYC you should know this. Granted there is plenty of garbage out there too, but header needn't be 4 figures and hand crafted
They do, I have had them on my car with paxton e85 or over 1000 miles no issues, LOUD sound even with MBRP. I sprayed mine with the Eastwood ceramic exhaust coating first, save more $$
Thats not gated, gated would peak lower as the boost levels. Mine is gated and peaks at ~6300, just like the graph on Beef's site, the gated will make torque earlier and peak earlier.
Nice Dyno, how much was peak boost, you have me wanting to restring my gate for a glory run now!
Everyone's threshold is different, but somewhere around the 15-17psi range (depending on who you believe) the piston and crap ring lands won't last long (especially with any detonation), I think the 3.0 pulley wouldn't likely yield much, might actually lose as the blower will be overspun and...
Im down in Corpus and I put them on maybe 6 months ago, the stainless hasn't rusted and the powder coat is ok. Maybe faded a shade like the plastic trim on your car will with UV but holding pretty good
:headbang:
I have the 3.33 on 6 rib with beefcake gate, gated to 12.5lbs so it peaks super low and flat, but its like a damn tow truck with the torque. I broke them loose the other night at 60-70 when I jumped on it and it down shifted from 6th to 3rd. Curious what you are getting for peak boost and dyno...
I looked around a lot and thought about it a bit before pulling the trigger myself, but I found these "custom car grills",
https://www.customcargrills.com/Custom-Ford-Grills.asp
you basically use a cutoff wheel/dremel and cut off your stock honeycomb then glue honeycomb onto the back. It looks...
I have yet to see any convincing evidence of difference in longevity between the FI setups, there is a perception that turning the SC causes added stress on the crank snout and we have all heard of a few people that have shattered crappy cast OPG/CG or snapped a snout. On the other end I hear of...
Paxton 2200 with 3.33 but beefcake gated to 12-12.5lbs.
Holley Sniper manifold
ID1000's
Sai li fuel system running e85
Off road long tubes to MBRP Race
MMR head cooling mod
OPG/Crank gear

Rest of the stuff is suspension

My setup: paxton 3.33 with beef's torque booster gated to 12-12.5lbs. Sniper intake, saw li system, e85, Offroad longtubes and MBRP race catback. Of course OPG.
My favorite is I don't have to rev to 7500 for the power, but if I respring the gate and do..well...
His dyno sheet says turbo on it, I've heard of a single paxton guy running a 3.33 pulley/high boost, e85, etc for those kind of numbers.
Stock cars with the 3.8" pulley seem to put down maybe 600 and trap 125-130.

They stopped just around 7000, because it wasn't doing anything anymore. I looked at the mechanical boost gauge and its a smooth linear boost builder, just seems like: 1) the gate is opening too soon, 2)unclear why it doesn't like more revs
Since 13 lbs of springs yielded...
