May not be absolutely required but my experience suggests to me that it's not hurting anything and I like the fact that it helps the fabric shed water. I can't imagine that being a bad thing. Ultimately, only time will tell.
Care to be more specific about what you're talking about? 303, RaggTopp, and West Marine products have been around for a long time now and I've never heard of any incompatibility issue on modern top materials. I've used 303 and West Marine on my 2016 GT convertible and both performed very well.
I had a Ford dealer, when asked to rotate the tires along with an oil change, told me they couldn't rotate the tires because the lug nuts were "worn out," and it was going to cost $140 to replace them. I was wondering how stupid they thought I was. I told them no thanks and had them finish the...
For the non PP models and without the LCD digital dash, you can put up any of a number of individual gauges in the window between the analog tach and speedometer. Engine temp, oil temp, volt meter, engine air/fuel ratios, and the manifold pressure gauge that's shown in this picture among...
I've never had the streaking problem after the product as dried. I have had it when I accidentally over apply and some of it runs down the glass before it has fully dried. It's just a matter of my being a little more careful but I also brush mine on, not spray it on.
As for your issues with...
So from 2300 to 3600 rpm, it's showing an average torque increase of 12.6 ft/lbs. That's not earth shattering but at least it's something. I averaged all the data at or above 9 ft/lbs. All the rest of the data averaged an increase 0.72 ft/lbs. That's hardly going to be noticeable on a car...
I love that shade of blue. Many of the other blues they've offered on the Mustang were either too dark or too light for my taste. This one is about perfect!
Good question. I'm not sure. In between treatments, I usually just rinse the top with water and wash everything else. I never use car soap on the top. Once it gets to the point where it's not beading very well anymore, then I'll scrub it with the horsehair brush and 303 cleaner, then reapply...
The horse hair brush is exactly that. A brush made of horse hair and it should be labeled as such. It's not a paint brush. It's designed like the round or flat brushes you mention. I've got one and I use it only for cleaning the top. If I'm remembering correctly, it's what the 303 top...
I've met a number of folks through the years that simply don't use cruise controls because they don't like them, don't trust them, or whatever. That's their choice. As I indicated before, I've been using cruise controls for a very long time, at least since 1975. I use them almost all the...
I understand the computers do need to know what gear ratios are. They also need to know what the final drive ratios are. I know that for a fact because I changed the rear end ratios on my 2016 GT and had to refresh the ECU so the darned speedometer would be accurate again. I also discovered...
I've got ACC on my 2016 GT. A lot depends on the circumstances and rate of closure between my car and the vehicle in front of me. If it's gentle enough, all the ACC has to do is lift off the throttle, which happens more often than not, just like we would while driving the car manually. If the...
Depends on your point of view. Some people might call a standard CC a nanny. I've met folks in my time that absolutely hate CC in any form and refuse to use it. Mainly, they don't trust the technology. I've had CC on every car I've owned except one and I won't own another without it. I've...
The Tremec is a manual transmission. The electronics don't interact with it at all beyond the tranny telling the electronics what gear the driver just downshifted to for the auto rev matching, assuming the particular Mustang has that feature. I've got a 2016 GT w/MT and I have the ACC option...
I'm amused at those who talk about "distracted" driving. I think on the open road, it's easy to let our attention drift for any number of reasons, especially when there's not a lot of other traffic around to help focus our attention. My experience with the ACC on my 2016 GT (MT) is that it...
Actually, if he's putting enough pressure on the brake peddle to activate the brake lights, his cruise control, adaptive or otherwise, isn't going to be working anyway because the brake light switch is a trigger to deactivate the cruise control.
