I know retail prices aren't set by what things cost to produce, but whatever the seller can get for it. That being said, just thinking about the parts that come with PP1 over the basic, standard Mustang GT, how much more do you think it costs Ford to build a PP1 car?
I mean we're talking about...
Hey GT_MTL, I have a question.... it looks like you have the A10 transmission. When you put these new, staggered wheels on, did you notice any problems or differences in how the transmission operates, such as shift points? (Or, with ABS & traction control?) I'm asking about how the car drove...
I hope Ford did a better job assembling and insulating these areas on the S650. I had a cheap Kia rental last year that was a wet noodle to drive, but was a lot more tightly built on the interior (no rattles).
Has anyone been running PP1 or Mach 1 staggered wheels & tires on a non-PP GT, with the automatic A10, without any tuning to adjust tire size? Just want to make sure the shift points, ABS, traction control, etc. work OK with staggered tires...considering the original programming was for...
A year or two ago I installed an AEM DryFlow as a drop in replacement for the original factory air filter (on a stock 2018 GT). The car runs well with the AEM filter but I didn't really notice any change in sound or power.
I know that Ford wants to provide a base level that isn't overly harsh (and now that I'm older, with back pain and other issues I appreciate that). But it just seems like the GT level of trim should come with a stronger emphasis on performance.
If you look at other sporty cars at vaguely...
When the 2018 model came out, Ford made some statements in the press that said that they made some improvements to the 2018 standard suspension. For example here's something from an article:
"All 2018 Mustangs get new shock absorbers that improve ride control, a new cross-member in the rear...
What drive mode are you using? In Normal drive mode, my car is a slug in first, or whatever gear the A10 selects when you start rolling from a stop. I think Normal mode holds back a ton of power in first gear.
In Sport or Track modes though, it's a whole other story... got more power than I can...
So on the gauge it looks like the "yellow zone" temperature doesn't begin until about 260F?! That seems...extremely hot. Shouldn't the yellow or red zone be more like 240??
I hate to hijack this thread but I have a dumb question about the Track-Loc LSD. Do the track-loc diff clutches wear out from just normal daily driving (no hotrodding or spinning of wheels)? Or do they only wear out when you do powerslides, burnouts, hard accel in turns, etc? I'm just...
AC is definitely a thing on the 2015-2017 cars. The evaporator leaks. See this thread:

What tire size are you aiming for (on the 18"s?) 265/50/R18 would be too tall, I think (28.4"). I doubt that would fit.
If you want to stay close to the tire height/diameter where you are now, you'd need something like 265/45/R18, or 245/50/R18. Either one would give you a somewhat softer...
My story's not that interesting. As a teenager in the late '80s I was really into cars, and the most bang-for-the-buck new car at that time was a Mustang GT (which in 1988 had a base MSRP of only $12,700 !) Of course, even at that price I couldn't afford one, or the insurance.
Fast forward to...
For small** changes in tire diameter/circumference, is any adjustment necessary if you don't care about the speedo being accurate? For example if I go to a 2% shorter tire from stock, it's only going to affect the speedo 1-2 mph at "normal" driving speeds. I'm more concerned about whether the...
I don't know what brand of paint your shop used, but in any case, the link below is to some technical guidance from PPG on how to prepare and apply Ruby Red.

I've had my '18 since it was new, and I'm not sure if it's always been this way, or if it's been a gradual trend... but the gas gauge (analog, I don't have the digital dash) seems to read a smidge higher than the level one would expect from the trip computer's "miles remaining" estimate. For...
I notice this poster is In Texas; here they use a rough chipseal surface finish on so many roads, I hate it. It makes the roads loud and imparts a lot of high-frequency vibration.
My car also recently turned 5. I remember when I bought it new, I noticed how clunky the A10 was with some shifts and I thought "NBD, it's brand new, Ford will have a software update to iron out the bugs any day now."
Still waiting...
