Totally agree. This is a VERY subjective question. Was hoping to get some people that are running the set-up in question to post some vids/sound clips.
Hey folks!
I'm currently rocking Stainless Works catless headers matted to the factory (resonated) cat-back. I'm debating deleting the resonators. Anyone rocking catless headers with no resonators? Any sound clips? Hoping you guys can help me decide whether to make the leap or not.
I can double check but I believe mine is also a 2016 engine. 32k miles in and still going strong. The engine won't have any influence on whether it has the coolers or not. It may actually be a good thing that you got a 2016 motor as it seems failures started happening when Ford started fiddling.
I ran the B-line cat deletes for over a year with no tune and zero issues. I would occasionally get a CEL for the rear 02 sensors but would just clear it and be on my way. I now have Stainless Works long tube headers on the car with no tune and haven't thrown a code yet. I do plan to tune it in...
Great write-up man. Saw you Sunday morning going down Clear Lake City Blvd. I was in the Avalanche Gray GT350. I think we have a mutual friend in Phil Jones.
Thanks for the Feedback Tom! I ended up picking up the Stainless Works headers and have been very pleased with the build quality. I plan to have them install next week. While I've got you, I've seen some 5.0 folks mention removing/filing down the AC line bracket bolt because it can make contact...
So I pulled the trigger on the Stainless Works. Before begin install, any tips? I assume I’ll need to grab a pair of OEM 5.0 gaskets to match up with the flanges. Any need to upgrade the bolts as well? I’ve seen a few talk about Stage 8 locking header bolts but not sure if that’s overkill. @Kobi...
I'm trying to decide between ARH and SW currently. I've seen a handfull of those that ran the ARHs have issues with the tubes hitting/rubbing on the frame. Are you saying there aren't any issues like that with the SW due to their pipe design?
Hey folks! I'm planning to finally step up to a set of long-tube headers this year and am starting to do research into each brand to decide which ones to get. I've ruled out Kooks as I've seen several reports of cracking at the welds. Therefore I've narrowed it down to Stainless Works and...
Yea, I posted them in the GT350 Owners FB page and never really got an answer as to where they came from. I really dig the SVT wording over the FP so this was a welcome surprise to get.
Gotcha, yea, I've seen that guys vids as well. I asked him the same question and he was running the 2" because he was planning to go boost in the future. Thought perhaps you knew something I didn't about 2" primaries on N/A.
