Sorry I don’t visit here often anymore but they told me that they replaced the chains and tensioners. That seemed to have fixed it for me. Did you have them look at yours? Did they fix it?

Just to close the loop. It ended up being timing chains.

Took my car in for the backup camera recall and told them about this problem. They couldn’t figure it out but they said a ford engineer would be coming down to diagnose. Hopefully can figure out what this is once and for all.

This is still an issue for me but the blip before turning off solves it. No shop I take it to has any idea what the issue is.

ok gotcha our cars are pretty similar then in mileage and usage.

Bingo. Same for me about the behavior related to temperature. Took it to a local shop and of course it doesn’t do it when the mechanic takes a look:cwl: . Really bugs me that there is no known cause for this.

The issue for me occurs at every warm start even during normal driving. Not sure if you waa insinuating that it only happens during track days.

Holy shit this worked for me! Little throttle blip before shutting car off eliminates the noise on the next warm start.

i honestly wish it was that since that’s an easy fix. The noise I hear is only on warm starts for a few seconds. It never happens on cold starts nor is there any noise when the car is moving so I don’t believe the video describes my situation. The symptoms described by @GoesTo11 and...

Hate to bring this back from the dead but my GT350 is having this exact same issue. No noise on cold start but clatter-like noise for a second or two from the driver side on warm starts. Was there any resolution to this or did anyone figure out what it is at least?

I’m still waiting on these sway bars to get delivered lol.
