  1. Left headlight turns off.

Hi everyone! I've been experiencing a weird issue with the left headlight. So upon turning on it stays on for about 0.5 seconds then turns off. Everything else is working fine, there's no error light on the dash or anything. It's clear that it works since it illuminates but won't stay on. Anyone...
  2. Clutch/brake pedal assembly removal

Just had this happen to me as well. I noticed today the clutch pedal will move from side to side about 3-4 cm (1-2 inches). My car is on 92k km (60k mls). It's been creaking for a good while now, and I was just thinking some spray on the components will fix the creak, next time I go for an oil...
  3. How much can I drive after oil change warning. 5.0

Hi everyone! I got the oil change warning out of the blue, idk why as it used to warn me at certain intervals beforehand. The thing is I am about 600 km (400 miles) from home and there is no place around here where I can get it serviced. Am I good to drive it or should I have it sent with a tow...
  4. GPF/OPF removal on 2018+ 5.0

Hello, has anyone found a reliable solution to remove the particulate filter on the facelifted cars? Any pointers are appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Gas particulate filter on new 18-19 GT?

Hi! I'm thinking of changing my '17 GT with a '19 bullitt, is there any definitive solution for the GPF removal? I don't really want to do anything else, just want the full sound and hp potential. PM me if you wish. Thanks everyone!
  6. Adding ceratec to oil quick question

Hi everyone! I'm planning to add Ceratec to the oil on the next change, I have a 2017 5.0 car. As far as I understand one bottle of Ceratec is good for 5 litres of oil, so considering the V8 7.6 litres of oil requirement I should be using one and a half bottles of Ceratec. Do I put it on top of...
  7. MF axle back developed a rasp.

Actually now that you mention it, when starting cold it seems like it is running rich as there is a pervasive smell of gasoline. But after it warms up it goes away. Could this be it? I filled up on 95 gas instead of the usual 100 because the gas station I stopped at the last time, was out of...
  8. Exhaust developed a rasp.

I never touched the cats. The car has 42k km on it. Seems a bit early. Is it possible to test the cats? Thanks.
  9. Exhaust developed a rasp.

Hi everyone! I have a MAgnaflow axleback on my GT, which I love. In the past week however it has developed an annoying rasp between 3,5-5k rpm and it only manifests itself under load not when stationary. I’ve driven more than 30k km with it on and never had this issue. What are the usual...

  11. Daily Chat Topic Europe

Anyone know if there is any objective difference between same size tires with different load indexes? I needed new rears, OEM are 275/40/19 101Y but I could only find 275/40/19 105Y in stock at my local tire shop. Can't wait for delivery as I'm going on a road trip tomorrow. Any differences...
  12. Daily Chat Topic Europe

I regret not doing a protective film as well. Got 14k kms on it in the last 5 months, and I have a bunch of nasty looking paint chips. The paint seems really fragile. I was thinking about a respray as well but I decided against it since I will probably sell the car next year.

  14. EcoBoost dyno tested in Italy: very bad results! Fraud???

That is pretty stupid. But with so many brands producing sports cars in Italy I'm amazed they didn't lobby the government against such a tax. Does this apply to vintage cars as well? What if someone collects cars and has like 5-10 cars? They pay tens of thousands in tax just for owning them...
  15. EcoBoost dyno tested in Italy: very bad results! Fraud???

Same thing in my country but based on cubic centimetres. If you go above 3000 it triples per cc to the point that I pay 1500 euros a year in tax alone for my GT. They introduced this in 2010 saying it is to help with financial crisis deficits but they forgot it was just temporary. So for a 600...
  16. EcoBoost dyno tested in Italy: very bad results! Fraud???

Same thing happened to an Ecoboost in Romania, owner had it tested. Results: https://www.facebook.com/Racing-Code-175835892435974/ Translation, dyno tested it had 250 hp and 400 nm.
  17. Winter tires for a GT?

Anyone have any recommendations for winter tires for a GT? I've been reading on the forums and some people suggest going for a bit narrower tires than stock ones. I plan on using the same wheels. I see some Americans are running 255/40/19 all around. Do 255 tires fit on the back? Iirc the...
  18. Oil change far too early on '17 GT

Seeing how many inconsistencies there are with the oil life monitor, they are either all bad or they are smart enough to monitor your driving style. My car gets a mix of high speed highway driving and bumper to bumper traffic every day, and the occasional mountain road blast on the weekends.
  19. First oil change and break in for GT

It did need it sooner, the indicator on the dashboard asked for an oil change. Was just worried there might be something wrong with my car but apparently if it gets driven hard, the oil needs changing sooner.
