You are going to have a hell of a time getting a coyote to sound like Eleanor!! With that being said the deepest sounding exhausts I have heard on these cars are AWE Touring, Krona, and I recently heard the SVE catback exhaust and it was pretty deep. Now if you go LT that changes everything...
Once you add LT's to this set up you will really feel it. For your current set up those numbers aren't bad. LT's really compliment a manifold swap. Is your tuner local or one of the known tuners to 5.0 community?
So first question is what is your goal for the car? 600+RWHP is fun as hell but for some people it might be too much for a daily driver. Or are you looking for just a little more?
If you want a nice bump I say at least do LT's. That way if you do decide to go the blower route in the future...
You should get a tune if you plan to run headers catted or catless. The PP1 package tune won't compensate for headers. Reach out to Lund, AED, PBD or any top tuner to have them write a tune. It's worth it.
Warranty issue isn't as simple as it seems sometimes. Technically it doesn't void the...
Coming from a guy that has a Catless Longtube header setup and a Corsa Sport catback, I can honestly say I think the Extreme's sound like ass with Catless Headers. The sport is still loud but does have more depth to it.
It's kind of funny. Corsa is the new Flowmaster haha. I remeber first...
I had to switch out my Roush CAI for the FRPP GT350 CAI. I could have also gone with the JLT CAI but i was looking for the cleaner stock look. Lund is a great tuner but I can totally vouch for Shaun at AED.
I currently have TSP LT's(catless) matched to the Corsa Sport Catback. Now I am an M6 but with that being said it sounds amazing. WOT all hell breaks loose. While cruising there is 0 drone. This system really lets the coyote scream!
The tune I had before was spot on. My prior set up was a Roush CAI, stock TB with adapter and a GT350IM. Car made great power on the dyno and drove very smooth. Didn't have any complaints. I wanted the TB so I talked with my tuner and I decided to give Shaun a call. Shaun's base file ran smooth...
I recently switched tuners. I had a local guy who is a coyote tuner tune my set up. I decided to add the GT350TB and my local tuner told me to call Shaun at AED. He told me Shaun had the driveability down with that set up. I called Shaun and he told me specifically that the TB did have gains...
Never go shorties lol. If you are going to stay NA i would go Cobra Jet with a nice set of Longtubes. If you think you'll boost it(Turbo or Centri blower) then I would get a Boss manifold.
Boosting this engine would be tempting but I would keep it NA. I bet that engine would hurt alot of feelings. Could you imagine it in a Fox Body or a SN95???
My personal opinion on this would be add a full catless exhaust, a CJ top end kit,47lb injectors and a solid tune. See how you like that. Adding cams is expensive and I would do alot of research if you really want to take an NA build that far. You might be happy with the way the car drives with...
The sports are deeper. I have catless LT's with the Sport catback. Cruising around it sounds great. When I go WOT all hell breaks loose. I highly doubt you will not like the Sport catback. Extreme to me sounds similar to the sport just louder and isn't as deep.
I will say that the Sports NEVER...
TSP catless headers here. Installer said they looked great and had no problems. If you can swing the $$ I would say a full ARH set up or ARH with a Corsa system.
