Drone is a loud sound that may reverberate or sound overly loud in the cabin. Drone sounds different depending on the exhaust. For example on my brothers 5.0 the drone on the highway is a horrendous chugging sound. On the ecoboost it's a pretty little hum.

If you're going in for a recall I don't think they could just void your warranty on the spot. If your engine isn't damaged I see no reason for them to pro actively void any warranty. It's a recall, they are required to do it even if your car is a track car.

Mesh I would buy from lowes. I will cut out the stock Eco grill and put the mesh in that.

Yeah throttle body spaces and manifold spacers for these things are useless unless you're using them for meth or aux fuel. They worked on carbureted engines but not on these.
