  1. Jacking Rails Improve Stiffness???

Can anyone comment on the improvements in chassis feel/performance from welding in jacking rails? Is the car stiff enough already that the rails don't make much difference? Way back when, I welded in "subframe connectors" that actually made a difference in my 1990 SHO. Do they make a...
  2. Odd Vibration

I had my Ecoboost engine replaced at about 75 thousand miles. While the car was in, I had all the fluids changed. When I got it back, the 6sp manual transmission made much more noise under normal conditions, didn't shift well at high rpm and had an occasional vibration on decel after high rpm...

  4. De-Carbon at 67k Miles

I assume with 67k miles and no catch can that I have carbon build up on the intake valves. My wife's Explorer Sport with the 3.5L Ecoboost and 140k miles just had to have the intake cleaned due to carbon build-up and a nasty misfire. So I decided to try it on the 2.3. I used the CRC product...
  5. Coolant in Oil???

I received two Blackstone used oil analyses back indicating coolant in my oil. I'm assuming a head gasket on its way out. Are there alternative explanations? Can anyone quantify the amount of coolant from this report? The oil looks fine coming out of the sump. Not a trace of milky-ness.
  6. Is it Alignment Shop or Busted Suspension

At this point I'm leaning towards incompetent alignment shop. Looking for alternative explanations. After having the rear sub-frame out to install Whiteline mounts and LCA bearings, I got the car back from my local shop with the rear suspension all bound up and making lots of noise. I didn't...
  7. Whiteline KDT933 Diff Bushings Discontinued

Sorry to plug up the site with a whiny thread, but I called Whiteline USA today and found out the KDT933 has been discontinued. I was getting ready to drop off my car for some suspension work that would require dropping the rear subframe when I realized the diff bushings didn't ship with the...
  8. FP Shocks Thread Pitch

Sorry, but I couldn't find this info on my own. As the title says, what is the thread pitch on the FP rear shocks? I want to replace the rod ends on my BMR mounts and need the specs for the originally supplied rod ends. Guess I need the ball inner diameter and depth as well. Better question...
  9. Rear Subframe Dampers - Necessary?

I've noticed that every video I've seen of the rear subframe never shows these dampers that are on mine. Any issues with removing them? They're relatively heavy, mounted in soft rubber. I've got the Steeda subframe support system already installed, so I don't think these dampers are doing...
  10. Can You Have Too Much Wheel Travel

Bored out of my mind this week, I've taken a few spirited drives around NE Pennsylvania. The roads aren't the best and they can work the suspension a bit. I've got the GT350R springs front and rear controlled by the FP track struts/shocks. Since it's an ecoboost, this spring setup doesn't...

  14. Lightweight Wheels back on

I finally switched over to the summer wheels and tires from my winter set-up and I'm just blown away. I just want to reiterate the huge difference light weight wheels make. I've got TSW Bathurst 18x9.5 wheels which are under 21 lbs each. That's a ten pound savings per corner over the...

  16. Can Anyone Identify this connector?

Finally pulled the trigger and took delivery of a Ruby Red, EcoBoost, manual, PP with Recaros, yesterday. This is what I noticed when I came out to the car later. Dealer is 3 hours away. Anyone know what this connector goes to?
