I bought the Steeda ProFlow CAI & Tunes for life as well (running MBRP Street cat back). Steeda keeps their tunes fairly conservative, especially with those that have few mods (such as myself). It was definitely a better feel than stock, but just lacked the power that I thought i'd gain. A Lund...
I've gone from the Steeda 93 tune (proflow CAI, MBRP catback) to the Lund FF tune and have felt a noticeable difference. Dont know the reason why the Steeda tune felt so conservative, but the Lund tune changed the responsiveness of the car.
Too cold here to do any runs with the car - but i'm...
MMD Rear Diffuser Base
Thanks to the guys @ AM for some quick shipping during the holiday season, as well as for the 6G forum member discount
These aren't bad - but i'm not certain they'll stand the test of time either. The plastic is thin, and coupled with bitter cold winters, i'm...
Definitely not the tune - I've run the Steeda tune for over 6000 miles without a hiccup.
I've driven the car with AdvanceTrac On, Off, and in SportMode (double tapping the traction control button). I've disconnected the battery, and reset the tune. Took the car back out for a drive after.
It...
Thanks for the feedback.
I warm up my car based off the owners manual instructions (to the first hash mark beyond the cold line - which I consider running temp). If for any reason it was implied that I let my car warm up for 30 minutes, i'll provide clarification - I do not excessively let my...
Peace of mind for me - the amount I drive the car, I should be trying to waste gas so it doesn't sit in the tank for long.
So you're saying 3rd gear from a stop and I shouldn't feel any hesitation? I'll give that a try tonight when I get home.
The outside temps have fallen in this area over the last several weeks, but I'm a firm believer in the car getting up to temp before the wheels move.
Temp was 70 degrees outside last night when I took it out. Car was at normal running temps, and these symptoms happened over the course of a 15...
Pulled the car out of the garage last night to head over to Lowes. I don't daily the car, but it does come out of the garage once a week minimum for some around town runs. Turn the wheel to the left and start off in 1st - there's a bit of hesitation, but I just chalked it up to the wheels being...
$960 :eyebulge:
Just did my springs last weekend in my home garage. Took about 45 minutes to an hour per front corner, and about an hour total for the rear. 3-4 hours labor at any shop should be fine (@$100/hr = roughly $350). Plates are part of that process, so they shouldn't charge more for...
I've yet to lower my Mustang .... think I even mentioned that in my post.
15% on a mustang? No. A 2-3 mpg increase on a VW lowered 3", yes. I average approximately 27-28mpg, with mixed driving (approximately 20 minutes at 25mph, 40 minutes at 75mph). My current VW is lowered with slight...
I didnt realize so many teenagers drove mustangs and hung out on 6g
Lowering your car does in fact affect mpg. Just as Chadr0 mentioned, it doesn't have anything to do with pushing the car through air, but the amount of lift applied/reduced.
Some people who drive 100+ miles per day...
