  1. Is my traction control working ?

I've had my GT 4 1/2 years now. Many times (not intentionally), I've had rear wheel spin, and the back end slide out a bit. I've always thought "s&%t, if this is what it's like with traction control on, I wouldn't like to try it with traction control off" - just thought "this is what it's like...
  2. Front shock boots floating at the bottom?

Are the boots on the front shocks meant to be floating around like this? (That is, not secured down somewhere / somehow ?)Mustang Shocky Boot by steerage250 posted Jun 7, 2020 at 4:26 PM
  3. Left hand rear tyre wears faster ?

Anyone else find their left hand rear tyre wearing-out much faster than the right? After 30,000km my right hand tyre (original Pirelli PZero) is still quite legal - but my left hand tyre is definitely not legal any more. I can only put this down to the limited slip diff forcing some wheel spin...
  4. Replacement windscreen costs

A chip in my windscreen from a couple of months ago suddenly grew right across my line of sight - time to fix it. RAC Insurance sent me to O'Briens Glass who (when questioned) said there was no Ford logo in the fritting behind the rear vision mirror. RAC's fine print says they can replace the...
  5. 2016 fog lamp lens wanted

I'm chasing a right hand fog lamp lens (or complete lamp if the lens cannot be removed). Mine is cracked. I don't want to pay Ford's list price as the light is not used (the DRL bulb is disconnected as I have the LED tribars, and we basically don't get fog in Perth), so I'm just replacing it...
  6. Cover art on Sync2 - anybody got it to work?

I play my music via Bluetooth from my iPhone. My iPhone has cover art in it for all tracks, but I have never got any cover art to be displayed on Sync 2. Has anybody ever got cover art on their Sync2 display ?
  7. Navigation system traffic congestion information

My wife & I have just noticed traffic congestion information appearing in Apple Maps, Google Maps and on the Mustang's navigation system here in Perth. Does anyone know the facts of: 1. Who is gathering this information and how? 2. How it is transmitted to the car? (I believe FM radio, but...
  8. no reverse camera guidelines & trunk/boot open

Suddenly the guidelines in the reversing camera disappeared. After much hunting through the manual, I discovered it was because my boot/trunk was open! Can anyone think of **ANY** logic behind disabling the guidelines because the boot/trunk is open???

  10. Bluetooth messaging lost with ios 10.2 ?

Since I got my Mustang 10 months ago, incoming text messages have been announced on the Sync 2 display. Ever since I upgraded my iPhone 6S to ios 10.2, Sync 2 now says "the connected phone does not support Bluetooth messaging". Anyone else having this problem ?
  11. crackly USB-connected iPod/iPhone music?

I generally use Bluetooth to listen to music from my iPhone and all is good. However, if I connect an iPhone or iPad via a USB cable and try and play music, it is all crackly. Anyone else have this problem ?
  12. 3M Paint Protection film - a cautionary tale

My car (Deep Impact Blue) rapidly started showing signs of pitting from stone chips around the front-end and I decided I needed to do something about it. I ended-up getting a "full frontal wrap" done (ie front, fenders, bonnet, A-Pillars and strip along the leading edge of the roof). The...
  13. "Oil Change Required" after 6 months/6,000kms ?

Anyone else in Aus had their "Oil Change Required" warning come up after 6 months and 6,000kms ??
  14. "Oil Change Required" after 6mths/6,000kms??

What's with the "Oil Change Required" message when I've had the car for just over 6 months and 6,000kms (4,000 miles) ? What sort of algorithm does it use to determine that I need to change my oil this soon ?
  15. Dubious record for the quickest bingle

OK, I'll stake my claim for the inaugural benchmark for the quickest bingle in their Australian S550 - in my 11th day of ownership! Stopped at a roundabout, I got bumped in the rear by a tradie's ute. Luckily, he had great blocks of rubber in his roo bar that impacted the bumper. The net...
  16. Apple Siri Eyes-Free

In Dec 2015, Ford announced all Syncs going back to 2011 would be upgradeable to use Apple Siri Eyes-Free (https://media.ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2015/12/03/ford-offers-apple-siri-eyes-free-to-millions-of-vehicles.html). Has anyone got this to work on the S550s ?
  17. door edge protection

I originally posted this just in the Australian section, but given that the car has been in the USA for several years, you guys are more likely to have a solution by now... Has anyone found any thing subtle to protect that sharp crease on the end of the door being opened-out onto another car...
  18. door edge protection ?

Has anyone found any thing subtle to protect that sharp crease on the end of the door being opened-out onto another car, wall etc ? (I'm thinking some clear plastic moulding, but bending it around that sharp fold will be tricky.)
  19. Bluetooth music volume very low?

When streaming music via Bluetooth from my iPhone 4S, or wife's iPhone 5, the sound system volume must be put to maximum to get a level that is barely audible. On our Ford Mondeo/Fusion, the Bluetooth volume is the same as the radio (ie doesn't have to be adjusted when switching from one to...
  20. tow bars for Aussie Mustangs?

This topic probably had many of you reaching for the vomit bucket and exploring ways of me having banned from the internet totally, but... I'd like to get a tow bar for carrying a bike rack, and possibly towing a trailer with my dirt bike on it. The US models have a maximum towing weight of...
