Known defect as the unit is not sealed correctly. Call and warranty them for replacements then on the new ones clear RTV on the outside edge to seal and then install.

The PP strut mounts are of higher quality and stronger than all other. I don't trust reusing suspension parts. Replace every time you remove them from the strut.

My suggest would be buy a new one and take your time with prep. Buy the paint from automotive touch up and get the better clear that requires a respirator.

I can personally vouch that after installing Roush hood scoop and trunk spoiler that: Hood is aluminum and trunk is steel.

Some do gloss black on fenders and grill and matte black on rear gloss panel...I did matte black on all and my stang color is magnetic. Got them from UPR.
