I am posting here because I wanted to hear your thoughts from those who mainly autox/track your mustangs.
I am getting the osgiken lsd installed soon and one of the shop actually mentioned that I do halfshaft along with it while it's out.
My question is, how common is the halfshaft failure ...
I currently have 35mm Whiteline front swaybar and slotted struts (-2.5 camber/zero toe) I am running stock tires and recently I have developed passenger side tire rubbing against the swaybar. Finally figured out that the bar was not centered so I've tried straightening/ retightening endlinks...
I mainly autox my '16 GT PP, plan on doing some track days next season.
I have put 15k miles on the car since I got the car, on my third set of tires. My second set of tires were Sport Comp 2s and now I have OEM take offs I bought for cheap.
Right now Conti ExtremeContact DW tires are on...
I currently have '16 GT PP in premium model. The cooling and heating seats have been awesome until recently. It's not cool as well but most importantly the upper portion of the seat where you rest your back gets insanely hot.
Didn't find anything from mustang6g from a quick Google search but...
I was about to post this on the suspension section, but I wanted to hear from people who autox/track that have used camber plates for performance purposes, not just as an "alignment tool".
Which brand is everyone running? Also thoughts on camber plates on stock suspension?
I understand driver's mod/course/etc has a lot to do with it...but
do our mustangs not have any chance in FS? There was a stock 2016 Camaro SS at the autox today, even had the temporary tag. Came 7th in pax, one second behind STU leader running on Re71r.
In FS, he was about 2 seconds ahead...
So for every car I've had, for Autox/Track, I turn everything off. For the past 8 or so events I've done this Autocross season, I've never had the Service Advancetrac come on except for Test and Tune early in the season and I believe that happened when we were messing with all the driving modes...
Recently got into a minor accident and the car just came from the bodyshop fully repaired. One of the wheel was scuffed and the insurance estimated to do the alignment as well but they didn't have time so they refunded me the money and I will be going to the shop before the Autox starts in 2...
It seems like this question has been asked numerous time but I personally just can't find much info on it on this forum.
JLT and UPR seem to be the popular choices but supposedly JLT doesn't collect as much oil as UPR and some other brands. But UPR has inferior lines and may need a little bit...
I really like the Corsa axle backs and the cat backs but they all carry a hefty price tag..
They sound "exotic" and not to mention the lack of drone...
What are some good alternatives? For now 3 inch and what not doesn't matter because I will not be doing full exhaust any time soon.
