Haha.
On a serious note, I'm about sick of the people that tell me "get used to it".
No, I'm not going to spend all of this money on exhaust just to settle for some pipes that sound like someone dropped BBs into my muffler.
Just installed my SP o/r longtubes last week, and the setup is now incredibly raspy through the entire RPM range instead of just mid-range under mild load with just the mufflers and midpipe. Any suggestions on how to fix this without installing cats? Most of the reason I wanted headers was to...
If you fill more than like 10% of the fuel tank capacity, the PCM has to relearn the ethanol content of the fuel so the tune runs a little rich for safety until it's adjusted.
At least, that's the way I understand it. Put ALCH_LEARN as one of your PID's monitored on your gauge, and you'll see...
Really any tune will wake up the car so much...I wish I could go back to stock (I have a JLT so I can't) just to get used to a slow car again so I can drive the Lund tune for the first time again :headbang:

In April and part of May, NC uses volatility class 2, which is 74% minimum.
No, you're all probably getting grade 2 or grade 3 e85, which are "winter" fuels with additional gasoline to help with cold starts. I think grade 3 is 70% minimum ethanol percentage, grade 2 is 74%, and grade 1 (summer fuel) is 79% minimum.
Not at all. I don't think the stock grille really precludes anyone from having an unlucky rock or bug come through and hit the radiator, and many cars before mine have had empty grilles and been fine.
If I kill my radiator with the grille delete, I guess I'll just have an excuse to put a PP...
Finally got mine installed. Here's a cold start idle vid, kinda a pain to get any revs or street driving in because all I have is my iPhone and I live in the middle of a city, so I don't want to bother the neighbors..
The fine folks at PetrolWerks in Lindenhurst, NY fabbed in some GT500 mufflers for me to go with my MRT h-pipe resonator delete:
I think it sounds great, and is very tame when the car is warmed up. I think it will pair really well with o/r headers.
