Very interesting that this particular retailer has had no offers of sticker,$70,000, $75,000, $80,000, his lowest offer is $90,000! I for one simply do not believe that garbage.
I can relate to your perspective and unlike several others here respect your sensible approach. I've never paid the sticker price for a new vehicle and have had every one I've ever wanted.
Wait a year and come back to the market when the retailers have taken all the bend overs to the cleaners...
I hope they do for the guys who are paying big money today. Keep in mind that there have been over a million V8 sports/muscle cars made in this 2nd era of performance. You will not see most of these cars rot away in 8-10 years the way the cars from the first era did. Just a little food for thought.
The whole idea that these '15s are to become highly sought after, collectable classics is highly questionable at best. They are little more than early build '16s that were delivered as 15s for the hype factor. 10 or 20 years from now this will be a who cares situation. Huge premiums for a 15...
They are "going for those asking prices"? Really? Sounds as if they are still in the hands of the retailer and not going anywhere at those sucker prices.
I'm not having that problem. Merging threads is really not a big deal and probably a good idea in this instance, not anywhere near the threshold of something to complain about.
Really? I don't seem to have that problem. Different thoughts and perspectives from numerous members. Interesting actually, not everyone will agree with every one else. What a strange world it would be if we all thought the same way.
99% of car dealers are that bad or much worse. Most are very good at hiding it. I've been around that industry for a long, long, time and tell you to never trust any of those grease balls.
I'll take big low end power any day of the week. That is where a car operates 99.99% of the time. 7,000 rpm is plenty. A Whippled 5.2L with good heads, look out!
