Since I build lots of models, after complete disassembly I etched the red paint by dipping the metal red painted parts in SuperClean household cleaner for five minutes and then throughly washed with soap and water then wiped it down with silicon remover (Pre-Kleano) from R-M. Worked on it on and off for about a week to allow the paint and clear coat time to dry.

While waiting for my real 2017 GT to arrive I repainted both a Maisto 1:18 and 1:24 in Ruby Red with red line interior to look like the real one. Also repainted a Hot Wheels GT and a 1:10th scale radio control GT the same way. Also a NOREV 1:43 that won't be getting re-painted.

Heck with Hot Wheels. I picked up a cool GT350 badge for my soon to arrive GT at Target in the automotive department maybe! It'll look great parked next to your real 350GT. :D

Order my Gt Premium, Ruby Red, Redline, 6spd manul, GT performance pack 3:73, black wheels,delete spoiler on 6\20\16. Now anxiously waiting out the 8 or so weeks. My first Mustang.
