  1. Who's faster: Parnelli Jones in his '70 Boss 302 or you in your GT 350/R?

A stock to stock comparison would make more sense but result in an elapsed time differential that would be laughable. The old Boss 302s are fun for collectors and nice to see at car cruises but are just pathetic performers compared to what we have now from the factory.
  2. Adm.

Exactly. Ford also knows as most of us do that this "limited supply" is a temporary phenomenon that occurs with virtually every new offering of this nature. The available units for sale quickly approximate the pool of willing, qualified, capable buyers and the entire issue evaporates until the...
  3. GT350R vs Corvette Z06 Opinions

We all salute Ford for the fine job that they have done with the current Shelby level Mustang offering. I could personally care less what either the Z06 or the GT350/R can do on a road course. The Z06 is a totally different animal than the GT350 with massive amounts of torque in the lower rpm...
  4. Flat rock plant GT350 pics.

A detail? You are joking aren't you. Here is reality my friend. Some high school drop out that was slingin hash at Bob Evans last week smears some detail spray over most of your new car and that's your detail. Those Mustangs pictured above have had their share of Mother Natures wrath including...
  5. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

Yeah, 69/70 Shelbys, fun to look at but what turkeys those old heaps were. The 65/66 model Shelbys were pretty cool. 67/68 GT500s were nose heavy, truck motored, sleds. The end of the line was obvious when there were leftover 69s that were designated as model year 1970. Those last years were...
  6. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

Man I would love to get a chance to take a romp in one of these new GT350s. Never drove a V8 with that kind of RPM range.
  7. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

The current GT350 is certainly what most would consider a more refined, well rounded car when compared to the previous generation GT500s. They are super cool with ball busting seat of the pants torque that most performance junkies like me crave. The next generation GT500 in the new chasis will...
  8. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

I will do that. He is usually right on the money with this stuff but never guarantees anything. He is an amazing guy to talk to, serious car guy and profoundly intelligent. Ford pays these guys well and gets the cream of the crop.
  9. First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

There is actually nothing that accelerates from a standing start that a human can ride in faster than a top fuel dragster.
  10. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

I have a friend of 30 years who is an engineer at Ford, worked on the FordGT and GT500. He told to to bet on another GT500. He also told me years ago to bet on the GT500s being built for far more than the 2 years('07/'08) that was originally promised.
  11. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

Where is it in writing that there will NOT be another GT500? What do you think Dude? Of course there will be another for the simple reason that it will sell and to a greater degree than the current GT350.
  12. GT500 vs GT350... You tell me!

The next GT500 will be far better at turning left and right than the 2007-2014s, you can bank on that. The upcoming GT500 will steal the show for the majority of us. The GT350 is the main attraction currently but will be a sideshow act the minute that the GT500 takes center stage.
  13. Best washing solutions

Your choice of Adams products is a good one. I've tried them all and they are the best. Their detail spray is second to none and exceeds what you realize with far more labor intensive waxes. A coat or two of the Adams detail spray(pink stuff) and you will bead water 6months later. Enjoy the new...
  14. Two 16 GT350's Available in Lexington, SC

The boys here who preach the need to pay an ADM to obtain one of these 350s should be realizing that there will be plenty of these cars to go around. 60 or 70 grand for a Mustang is big money. Ford can pump out GT350s faster than many believe.
  15. First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

That is really nice MPH. I'd love to see what this car feels like with on the street with some 4:10s or even 4:30s. That 8200 rpm opens some doors for sure.
  16. First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

Very true. So many of us overlook MPH and concentrate on just the ET. Trap MPH is a far better indicator/predictor of street performance and seat of the pants fun to drive factor.
  17. First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

I'll buy a Mustang, Thank You. I would imagine that all of us here understand that Ford engineered this car with road course abilities in excess of the previous GT500. I really don't care about that part but love the look, sound, and Shelby designation. I agree that a gear change will really...
  18. First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

Precisely, these are Pony/Muscle Cars in the minds of 99.9% of the automotive enthusiasts. Straight line performance is what these cars are known for and how they will be evaluated by the overwhelming majority. I could give a crap how long a GT350 takes to go around Laguna Seca, VIR, the "Ring"...
  19. First Shelby GT350 in the 11's quarter-mile (11.96 @ 116 MPH)

The GT350's initial stats are more than acceptable in my book and pretty much in line with general expectations. A 12 second 1/4 mile at 119 MPH was blistering fast until just recently. The late model GT500s, Z06s, and the like have rewritten the the book on performance. Not everything out there...
  20. 2015 GT350 available in NY

At least the 3rd that I have seen on forums. There are really not many of us looking for one of these GT350s to sock away for 40 or 50 years. The guys who have one can let those of us still living how their investment worked out half a century from now. They could be a hot item then or just...
