I had a black SS 1LE. Great car for the track. Mustang probably better as a daily if you're not putting in road course laps.
Love the Orange with black.
All I hear is wahhh in this.
It was a shit test that was flawed from the start. Fact is that both cars are quick. I think what is really bothering everyone here is that the Mustang isnt "decimating" the Camaro as most people had hoped. They are close in performance, and that's just the way it...
Well, wait... everyone here said the Supercar 3R on the ZLE were stickier than the PSC2 and that's why the braking distance metrics were better in the other test.
Now, the PSC2 on the front only are an "upgrade"? Hilarious. Whatever fits the narrative I guess. It sounds to me like it was more...
I've found that an average passenger... let's call it 180 pounds... would cost me about 1-2 seconds depending on the track.
I do agree that the weight difference was originally overstated. First it was like 42xx pounds, but it sounds like with CFTP it's more like 40xx, which is a lot more...
This is why the car community deserves you, prognosticator of fair-balanced car tests, wearer of the IAB badge.
Henceforth, you will be assigned to oversee all performance car tests to ensure that Mustang6g's honor is kept. You'll be like a congressional oversight committee of one...
That's funny... I experienced the same thing not to long ago with heuristic.
Reminds me of when "extensible" was the most over used term of the day that everyone used incorrectly.
Well, what happened to the GT500 "decimating" the ZLE?
As expected by anyone who actually tracks cars, it's a close race. Fresh tires on both cars might yield a different outcome, but it will certainly be close.
I've never looked at the Yenko, but god damn is it ugly in the photos. The Camaro requires subtlety in aesthetic mods as to not look awful. I really think the SS 1LE is a good looking car, but even that is just a bad set of wheels and some stripes away from looking like shit.
Let me summarize the thread so far so you can catch up...
GT500 is the best... no, ZLE is the best! Waaahhh!
All brought to you by "Coked up midgets" in a bar fight.
Amazing that people will argue all day about their car's track performance, but wont actually take the car to the track themselves to learn wtf they are talking about.
I only use the track mode at the track, and it works well at that speed. Higher speeds make the steering feel lighter, and when going through a really high speed sweeper I welcome the additional friction, as I dont want to hit a small bump and make a drastic movement. On the street however, I...
I cant figure out what's going on here.
My 17 SS 1LE came with Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3. I find them to be quite good on both street and track. A massive upgrade from the G2 version that was downright terrible when cold.
However I am confused by this:
This is what came on my car as well.as...
I've always just run my street setup when its wet, but that is so rare here in socal that it almost isnt even worth worrying about.
You going to do an Apex setup for the ZLE?
For sure. I've always been interested in a 350, but just couldn't get past the pricing. I have a serious problem paying MSRP (or more) for any vehicle. Even if I had money to blow there is just something about that which really bugs me... so, happy to see that the prices are coming around.
