i have one on its way over from the states now, i used STS Imports to bring them over on their next container, much cheaper if you don't mind the wait. they quoted: £40 + Duty (3.5%) & VAT (20%) charged on the cost of the items.
they even bought it for me as i was having issues with buying in...
i'm interested in this, probably have a few Ford drivers that would be up for it.
how many runs do you get out of the average day?
will it be like the test and tune days where we can test out the 0-60s etc?
so far i have spent around £3.5k, there is still another 4k i want to spend on wheels, suspension and splitters. and that's before i have even started looking at powertrain mods. mine is going to be a huge money pit for years :')
thanks for the response guys, i'm currently looking at the Roush Adjustable coilovers which do 1.5 on the front and 1 on the rear from factory. AM recommended camber plates with them, but they are probably just trying to sell more
@steeda_UK do you have an equivalent spring and shock set for a...
yeah that is what i have been thinking, i'll be doing mine myself more than likely, id defiinitly rather only drop the suspension once.
just curious on what other peoples experiences have been
so a lot of the sales sites recommend when lowing that we should also buy camber plates for the front to prevent uneven tyre ware.
i'm curios as to whether anyone has bothered and whether people think they are really necessary or not?
Thanks
I'm split about selling ore keeping mine, my plan is to never sell the car, but i also know that i would get more money selling the aftermarket parts separate if i did.
it is purely the storage of the that is the issue for me, you don't realise how big the grille is until it is off the car...
So like many of us i have a growing pile of parts i have taken off the car
GT Grille set
GT Decklid
Coolant expansion tank
Airbox
soon exhaust and wheels
what is everyone doing with their old parts i'm thinking of selling them because i don't have the space to store.
are people...
Hey fellas
There was a discussion on one of the silverstone post abut the lack of S550s at shows like FordFair at the weekend, i think i see 8 including mine, i was there with ford mania.
One of the issues is the lack of ford groups focused on the mustang, however Ian at Ford Mania would love...
i have just spoke with Ian at Ford Mania, suggested that M6G roll with Mania to see what he thought and this was his response
"Id love that if you guys did sounds fab to me mate id welcome you all with big massive arms...as im toying around with a mustang next "
he also said to mention "dont...
Another option could be to piggyback onto an existing group, i know for a fact Ford Mania would welcome more mustang drivers, we could still fly the M6G banner but established groups generally get better stands at these shows, plus they all have the club accounts set up
I could mention it to...
I had mine on a stand with Ford Mania, i was also surprised and disappointed at the lack of Mustangs on show, i was hoping to get some ideas and hear some exhausts
yeah it seems the paint on the main head covers are fine other than he writing infills
but the main issue is with the main cover as pictured
Manders, what brand heat primer did you use on yours? and did you use normal gloss paint or was that heat resistant paint as well?
cheers for the...
Has anyone else had issues with he paint and primer lifting off of the engine cover?
mine has started in a few locations on the main cover, i've spoken to the guys in the spraybooth that sprayed it for me and they are putting it down to the expansion and contraction of the plastic/the movement...
i've just dropped mine off at the dealer by work to have this fixed, my driver side one looked like that
this dealer was pretty good said the unit takes 2-5 days to come in when i asked so they booked me in for the following week, and ordered it without even looking at the car
mine popped up after 6 months and 1200 miles, i contacted m dealer and he said it was because the forgot to reset the oil life counter in PDI, because the oil life counter counts from the production line on a yearly timer.
he said to take it in and they would reset the counter for me, in the...
