I had the same issue on my 15. A clamp on the flex joint helped a little but it still rattled on cold start. I have a good relationship with my dealer's service department so they replaced the whole cat under warranty. No more rattle. Good luck.
79 within a 50 mile radius of me 40 being GTs. When I spec out one the way I wanted (GT, manual, 401a, not black) mine there is 1. My closest Ford dealer looks more like a small enterprise lot than a car dealer. I feel for anyone buying a car or house now. It blows.
This is a tough one because Ford really screwed the customer over by bumping up the PP1 cost and downgrading the tires in the process. I had a 15 base and now a 20 PP1 and the handling is night and day. The Mach has the trans and the coolers that if you're going to track it make it worth it. For...
My wife had an RS for 3 years before some tool backed into it totaling it. That car was amazing. Handled like it was on rails, sounded great, and launched hard. With winter tires it was a cat in the snow. The Adrenaline Academy really helped me appreciate the RS. You could definitely get caught...
In short I don't think you can make a coyote sound like the old pushrod 5.0s. Engines are just so different as well as the exhaust set up like others have said.
That being said I'm clearly in the minority in that I prefer the coyote by and large. I recently had a 331 stroker notch BBK headers...
This point is right on! This is my first car with summer tires in a long time as my last two mustangs had the all seasons. After a warm summer I overestimated the grip of the tires but as temps drop the PS4s reminded me they need to be warmed properly before cutting loose. That being said once...
Congratulations!
I bought a 20 GT in May for a deal that I just couldn't pass up and I'm very happy with. So, I don't have any interest at this time in purchasing a Mach. In my area and many others I do anticipate ADM but of course if someone wants it bad enough and is willing to travel I...
Like you, I decided I couldn't drive something I didn't love.
When I had my 13 GT I had a 97 Blazer beater and it sucked driving that for 4-5 months out of the year so when I bought my manual 15 GT I drove it through 3 chicagoland winters with Blizzak LM-32s. The winters were pretty light but...
For ADM or even sticker I would probably pass but if the Mach is sitting on lots in the fall of 21 or even 22 and they throw 0% at it with discounts this could be a steal. While Ford creatively left a few standard options from the Bullitt off it is still a good value for what I consider the best...
I'm on my 3rd MT-82. My first 2, a 13 and a 15, were flawless. My 20 MT-82D4 I've missed 3rd twice at redline. I've owned manuals for 18 years and only missed a shift one other time. I've read that the way the transmission is mounted combined with the slightly higher redline is the culprit. It...
I had a winter beater when I had my 13 GT. It was a money pit and my GT just sat unless it was nice out. I still managed to curb rash one wheel. I daily drove my 15 GT for 3 years in Chicagoland. Even after 3 winters that car was in the nicest shape of any i had traded in. My 20 that I got in...
Definitely not if it's just paddles. I had the DSG in my GTI and never used the paddles. It was basically an auto to me. If there were a stick maybe?? I feel like I would definitely kick the floor a few times looking for a clutch but if I can get used to auto rev-matching I can get used to not...
My 15 non performance pack had the tick and I just heard the 2k rattle in my 20 PP1 for the first time which was a bit disappointing. Also, I never thought twice about shifting my 15 at redline and never had any lockout issues. In my 20 I can definitely feel that at redline going into third I...
Crazy to read this. I rented an ecoboost in HI and it did everything your describing. The hard shifts, the desire to get to high gears, the R-D lurch. It seemed confused. It literally only felt good with my foot to the floor. I had an Edge Sport with an auto at the time that was butter smooth so...
