I don't believe the code would be in (any) new firmware, it is built into the unit

It would have to be through the system update screen (which I believe no one yet has the code for) for an update to actually change anything

You don't have to use the one that came with the unit :shrug: There is little use for it (unless you want to play videos) considering there are two other factory usb slots

Its easy enough to get into engineering mode with 888999 but that is not the code for system updates. Once we get that code, future system updates will be super easy to add.

Planning on testing the 888999 code after work for engineering mode/system update.

A little problem...ever since I installed this my cig lighter attached to it does not power accessories like it used too. Additionally if i plug something in and pull it out it actually comes out some and I have to push it back in. The back connector to it is plugged in all the way. Any help?

The upsides are much better then the downsides. Its a heck of an upgrade for $300 and works well minus an occasional complaint. I am sure the few complaints will be ironed out with software updates, etc.

Fair enough but look at my response above and see that there is still a fair number of issues with the Nov 2015 build. Sure none of them are THAT big of deal but the majority of complaints..if not all.. that I listed could be fixed by a software update/build.

Finally got my installed and working now. My time works/keeps fine and the NAV app is MUCH better then expected. I have the Nov 30 build date: My only real complaints: 1) Backup camera is highly over saturated on it. Much worse then stock. ESPECIALLY at night--light shows up as purple/reddish...

I installed it last night and the screen does not turn in. I know the new power harness works because when I plug the part into the cd player it makes a sound. Any ideas? I followed all the instructions and am at a loss
