Dont forget your trans is geared higher than the 15-17. So if u want the acceleration like the 15-17pp you need the 4.09 gears. I drove the 18pp manual with 3.73 and its definitely not the same as a 15-17 with the 3.73. This is if you stay n/a of course.

I think the gear spacing is nice on the 18. However i test drove an 18gtpp and i dont like the 3.73 with the mt82d4. Im more for 1/4mi so if i had an 18 id be getting a yukon 4.56. But thats just personal preference.

I believe for the super 8.8 yukon has a 4.56. If i had the 18 with the 3.24 first gear id want the 4.56. But on 15-17 id say 4.09 is good as i think its 3.66 first gear?

Thanks ahl395 for the info. When you mention at the cost of higher iat and stress on components, how much higher iat? And is it mainly just harder on the blower since the speed is amped up a bunch? Im guessing it would also be more on the crank to turn the smaller pulley?
