  1. Aftermarket Seat Install - Passenger Seatbelt

Yeah this post wasn’t to discuss the merits of 4 point vs 6 point harnesses. It was for a technical issue and I updated it with a technical solution. Also, Schroth sells a 5th and 6th point addon that fits into the DOT legal buckle. Sounds like you’re not too interested in having kids with...
  2. Aftermarket Seat Install - Passenger Seatbelt

The harnesses I am using are the 4 point Schroth with anti-submarining via the shoulder belt that is stitched to extend in the event of a crash. As far as I know it is the only aftermarket harness that is street legal.
  3. Aftermarket Seat Install - Passenger Seatbelt

Update: So I ended up obtaining a Ford Service Manual and I followed some of the troubleshooting steps. All troubleshooting routes pointed to me needing a new passenger seatbelt buckle. Instead of paying ~$180 for a new one and waiting for it to be shipped, I ended up finding a way to trick the...
  4. Aftermarket Seat Install - Passenger Seatbelt

Hi All, I attempting to chase down my airbag light after installing driver and passenger Sparco seats in my 2015 mustang. I think I've successfully tricked everything except for in the passenger seatbelt area. It is stating "circuit open" on the passenger seatbelt tension sensor, which I...
  5. JRZ RS2 Install - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.......and finished with all good.

Nice writeup @db252 Glad I could help out on the swaybar endlink side of things. Be sure to get them rebuilt every so often. Mine are starting to feel a little groaty. On a side note, it is interesting to see how your rear shocks have an adjustment at the top of the shock mount. My shock...
  6. Brake master cylinder replacement questions

I agree. I just did the upgrade from 4 piston to 6 piston brembos and everything seems to be working fine without upgrading the MC. I am going to a trackday in 2 weeks so we'll see if there are any issues. I had heard from Terry at Vorshlag that a master cylinder was needed. I have a brand new...
  7. GT Performance Package Brakes to Ecoboost?

Funny to have found this thread. I am in the process of doing this swap. I purchased GT-PP 6 pistons from ebay (shelbyauctions), a GT-PP master cyl from Vorshlag, and a Motive bleeder from Optimum Performance. If all goes to plan, I should be attempting the swap next week!
  8. My car's weight is...

I had my car corner balanced a few years back. This is it with zero engine mods, and some suspension mods: swaybars, coilovers, endlinks, steeda k member brace, bmr cb005. I can't recall if I had the spare tire kit in the car for the weighin. But I was on the stock PP 19" wheels and had a full...
  9. Consumer Reports Crappy 15 Mustang Reliability

I didn't read the consumer reports or the whole thread but I just wanted to say my 2015 was far from perfect. Here is the list of issues I've had that I can recall. Upon delivery, there was a paint defect in the front fender. Entire fender had to be resprayed Waviness and light distortion of...
  10. Who takes their Eco to the Track?

Only HPDE + autox when my engine and tune was 100% stock. I had issues with the stock intercooler piping started backing off and I lost all boost. Also the "Oil temp" guage gets very close to yellow but I have come to learn that is an inferred oil temp based on charge air temp. Also, I'm pretty...
  11. It's like a ghost town in here....-

Been lurking/monitoring the ecoboost community since early 2015 (since I got my car). It seems like all the development that will be done has already been done and vendors have gotten rid of their ecoboost test mules. In my observation, vendors like to communicate through the forums but users...
  12. Minnesota Members

You might want to give MAPerformance a call. They make parts for a lot of imports and the ecoboost. I've seen a dyno on some of their product promo videos.
  13. Minnesota Members

I would join you guys at BIR but my car is still in CA (new to the Twin Cities). Would love to go to the driver's school later this summer as well.
  14. Minnesota Members

Is the BIR driving school geared towards novices only? Do they also have an open trackday with more experienced drivers?
  15. Recommendations on shops that specialize or good at suspension

I'm not from SoCal but Matt Farrah always raves about West End Alignment in his podcasts.
  16. Bull's Jack-of-all-trades 2015 EB Premium PP

Very nice build so far. In for more dyno results!
  17. Steeda Ultralite Linear without rear spacers

I've had two versions of the Ultralites on my Eco. For the first set, I had to use a fat 12mm spring spacer to get the ride somewhat even. Now I am using a newer revision of the Ultralite rear spring and if memory serves me right, I am pairing it with a 6mm spring spacer. Furthermore, I am now...
  18. Battery in trunk ?

I think Mike Maier Inc. did it on their shop car, but I can't find the post about it anymore. It might be worth it to give Mike and team a call.
