I traded in my 2016 GT350 Tech and the dealership put it up for sale for over MSRP if anybody is interested. Hahahaha
...on the plus side it does have a trans cooler.
I'd choose an Auto if I was a serious racer as obviously they are faster, but for a sports car and HPDE weekend warrior, rowing the gears is rewarding.
I posted this elsewhere, but there isn't a used GT350 under 56,500 within 100 miles of Chicago. That one has a bit more miles, but seems like it's the norm. I'm thinking of throwing mine on the market.
I'll disagree with the above. My MSRP is 59,040 and I'd be willing to bet I could get 55k in the chicago market this summer. I think in 5 years we will still see $40-$45k for nice GT350's and probably $35-$37 for something more used.
The valves automatically open at WOT no matter the setting, it is much quieter and within restrictions if you can give the same effect as "closed" 100% of the time.
I believe the R was probably tuned to as close to no compromise as possible when running in track mode. I doubt they would leave their flagship track car with time on the table just from suspension tuning.
With that said, I'm eager to be proven wrong.
