If you’re doing a swap where there was a vent in the middle and you switched to the gauges you will have to modify the backside of the vent. I had to cut the backside and angle it until it fit. It’s trial and error. I bought several vents on eBay so I could cut and test fit. Pain in the ass.

You just push down on the ball and it works like stock. Reverse lockout works too. The problem with this is that I modified the actual shifter too. You could use what I made without modification but I wanted the shifter to look and sit low like a short shifter.
