  1. Anyone using a harness bar?

I have this one and use it in conjunction with fixed back race seats. The bar lines up great with the shoulder harness slots in the seats so the angle of the belts over my shoulders is not a concern with compressing my spine in an incident. With stock seats I think the harness bar is too low and...

  3. SCCA CAM-C Thread

I have run CRSv2 in 275/40-18 on 18x11 since Packwood NT and heat has not been an issue for me. It wasn't good to get them in just days before the Tour but since then I have done two track days and a trackcross event. The trackcross event was around a 2 mile track (Oregon Raceway Park) in...

destoups, "DS my bet as well (I've owned two of these and pretty much every other DS car too). Wheels are pretty much the only class-killer component." RIP Des and Amber. I didn't know Amber but I did know of Des through this forum when the S550 Mustang first came out and in the years since at...

6" 1000 lb spring. If you zoom in on the pic you can see the p/n  I've got the Maier set back in my car and this type of system is soo easy to tweak ride heights with.

Good stuff ^ The comment about how the car used to rotate but now it doesn't leads me to the PSA @kz posted a few comments up about: check your car. Many of us have had these cars for years now so, don't rule out the possibility a shock(s) have gone bad, something has come loose and so on.

@kz @webspoke yeah, my thoughts too about being sure one gets the good stuff when ordering instead of old stock. These new fast tires in jumbo sizes are going to really cause folks who desire to be competitive to have to hack up their cars. It'll require 12 and 13in wheels to make the fat...

Are you folks aware of the revised Nankang CR-S tire for this year as well as larger sizes it is supposed to be available in? The latest Grassroots Motorsports magazine covers it. I'm not seeing where to buy them though. 335/30/18, 325/30/19 are notable sizes for CAM.
  12. Leroy Tire Trailer

Cool trailer setup! I was considering one of those small enclosed trailers as an upgrade when I was using a little Harbor Freight tire trailer behind my car. Seems like it would be a way more secure way to transport tools and gear without it being much heavier. Nothing wrong with having a way...

Ugh, while that factor doesn't mean much for national events it sure sucks for locals. Especially when most are on postage stamp lots where aero doesn't factor and I'm either in a pax class or comparing myself against others via pax.

One nice thing is the change of wording from licensed and insured to just legal to drive. I've been considering what's next for my car in a way that I wouldn't have to maintain registration and insurance on it. I rarely drive my car on the road anymore and when I do it is mainly just to feel...
  15. Race Trailer Advice Needed, Please

I went from packing a tent in the Mustang when it was original, to towing a little Harbor Freight tire trailer, to open trailer with 2014 F150 EB Max Tow, to a 10k 20' enclosed with same pickup to now a 2019 F-350 6.7 DRW w/slide-in 811 camper. So...didn't jump the shark as much as you did but...

  18. Steeda pro action shock adjustable' s. what settings street strip?

This method should work for finding good damping settings on the street: 1. Set front and rear all the way soft (easier to feel when creeping up on a good setting this way) 2. Find a country road with combo of straights, bumps and curves. Doesn't need to be more than a couple miles long. 3...
