Just thought I'd follow up for anyone who comes across this in the future.
I found the damage. It was very close to the headlight assembly, but it's very difficult to get to. I guess something chewed on it. I didn't see anything that it could have rubbed against. Hard to tell if it's just the...
I searched the forums and didn't see anything similar, so I assume it's not a common issue. I thought I'd reach out anyway since there's so many helpful folks here that might have some insight.
The passenger headlamp stopped working awhile ago - both low and high beams. The tri bars are still...
Haven't been here in awhile, but just wanted to add that I'm a 2-time loser with the evaporator. I had a 2015 EcoBoost that developed a leak around the 4 year mark. I traded it in a year later for a 2019 EcoBoost and 2.75 years and 25,000 miles in, just got word that they are going to replace...
Yeah, thanks. I'll likely take it in next week. Too much end of the month stuff going on this week to deal with it. Just have to decide which dealer to try this time. I've had less than stellar interactions with 2 of the local dealers so far.
Sorry, knew I should have mentioned that I've been adding refrigerant. It's not properly charged, but there is enough refrigerant in the system for it to work fairly well when it feels like it. I think the short in the sensor is intermittent and might be causing it to fade in and out. I'm...
Yeah, I know, OUCH! How much do dealers charge per hour for labor these days. I totaled up the list price for all of the parts listed on the TSB and it's roughly $270 plus refrigerant ($170 plus refrigerant for the parts online). Now if they're replacing the whole evaporator assembly that's a...
I fear I've also encountered a failed evaporator. I definitely have a leak, but haven't had it officially diagnosed. There seems to be some other issues as well. I'm getting 3 FCIM Error codes.

End of the Road
I've decided to cut my losses and end my sponsorship here. This thread will likely go dark in about a week.
My website is paid up through the end of July, so it will remain up until then if anyone wants to order the attachment.
Thanks to all those who purchased the...
Just curious how you came to this conclusion. I'm assuming you have access to additional data from other GT350 owners or something, but you didn't make that clear.
Perhaps USMC0341 could check the software version for the SCME module. They may have done a full software upgrade versus just a...
Interesting.
Cobra Jet had posted on my DIY thread about some sort of update for the 2016 Lincoln MKX. I assume it's the same thing. I wonder what they actually did.
I'll have to see if they'll do the update when I go and get my door latch recall done and see if I can figure out what the...
Yes, sorry, I might not have made that clear. The sock comes off altogether and the attachment snaps on and then you add the three 3/4" hoses to the attachment like shown in the instructions for the original attachment.
Sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I finally have a new attachment that will fit the TSB version of the blower. Info about it can be found at http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1735116#post1735116
TSB Modified Blower Attachment Now Available
Sorry it took me so long to get this ready to go, but I finally have an attachment that will connect to the newer "sock" version of the blower unit.
If you want to give it a try it's available from my website Darko66.com
A few things of note...
Sounds like something is wrong to me.
Have you ever updated the Sync software? There's only been one update since I got my car. I don't think there's anything in the update for the climate system, but I'm wondering if doing the update would reset the system.
Good luck.
That's strange. I haven't experienced any trouble with that.
Setting the vents manually does turn off the "AUTO" function, but the temperature control still works for me. Pushing auto again seems to set everything back fine.
My experience has been that "AUTO" mode, based on the temperature...
Thanks for trying out the attachment and for sharing.
I wish I'd caught you before you'd put your seats back together and imposed upon you to take a look at the cooling mesh on the seats. I'm still trying to figure out why the cold air spreads out so much better on the seat cushions than the...
Forum discount plus thoughts on install
A few thoughts on installing the attachments.
On the most recent units I've shipped, I've included a couple cable ties for each seat. I thought that one could be used to attach the hoses to the wire frame inside the seat just below where the hoses attach...
Exhaust explanation
First, thinking about this made me realize something. I never reinstalled the plastic insert back into my seat. So, those of you installing the attachment or having already installed it, might want to leave it out. There's a chance it might obstruct the hot exhaust air...
All feedback and commentary encouraged. As indicated earlier, my goal was to create a simple and inexpensive solution that improved performance. It's not a perfect solution and perhaps not a complete one, so any efforts on your part to create improved solutions either on your own or in...
