I was hoping that a tuner could make it so this toggles wouldn't reset. With all the mods out for these cars, I thought that this would have had a fix by now. bummer.
Who knows a way to not have the toggle for the drive modes reset every time one turns off the ignition?
And.
In addition to its intended purpose, would the rain/snow toggle offer any benefit in terms of mpg?
Agreed. The engine seems great. Wheels are horrible imho. But it is early and I'm sure things will change or other options will be avail. This isn't the final product. Very interested in the interior of the Mach 1.
This! Thanks Geoff and it was nice to see your kind words for Adam. He has done a lot for this Mustang community! Respect to all the vendors that offer helpful advice and information.
Completely agree on twin-scroll for the Mustang Ecoboost if you are not track focused and use it as a DD.
Cams...
Another Eco bites the dust ;) Gratz Renner! Enjoy. Sounds like a sweet ride. Let us know your thoughts when comparing the two. Ive not doubt you will like the GT. Well, unless you don't like speed or power much ;)
Anyone know of a quality bodywork/paint place is Chicagoland for smaller jobs? I want to replace the spoiler and need a place that does top notch resprays etc..
Lets say theoretically I only want my car to perform optimally on the street. NO track. No strip. What are the do's and don'ts?
For example, would lowing the car and tightening the suspension be a negative on the street as compared to the track?
I know most say don't get wide tires etc..
Great review and follow up! I was on the fence, but all your info made the diff. Looks like temps are just as good or slightly better than my stock now. Ultimately I am not losing anything except a few LBs and the ugly stock box (and sound tube imho). On the other end, I'm gaining a cool ass CAI...
Really. Sound like the better way. No damage to the FW?
What size were the plugs you bought. No biggie I can prob figure that out.
Great info. Thanks Man!!:headbang:
P4ARKER, how was removing the sound tube? Did you just leave it off the cai or remove it completely?
*Edit* I just re-looked at your pics. Looks like you removed it completely. Was is relatively easy removal. Sound in cabin change much?
P4RKER, thanks for the write up. IAT's seem good. As good as stock if I compare to my stock numbers. I'm guessing it goes over 100 when sitting idle at a stoplight in 80 degree ambient. Let me know other wise.
Looking forward to any improvements over the next few days. Overall I think its a go. :D
Is the whistling noticeable/obtrusive while cruising windows up?
I think I would have to agree that even though MMR states a tune isn't needed, a tune prob would solve most of the performance issues. Curious if those go away after a week or two, if the air sensor adjusts?
