Invest in some suspension mods to eliminate the wheelhop which caused the problem to begin with.

I did not notice anything unusual, which is what I thought was especially scary. I had purchased a DSS shaft that I had found used, went to install it and was shocked to find everything mangled when removing the OEM shaft.

I have the DSS aluminum shaft and am happy with it. I only picked that one as I got a good deal on a used one from a forum member. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the popular choices.

I did it mostly like the CIPP video, but on jack stands. It took a long time (probably 12 hours), but I wasn't rushing. I did have to lift the motor some with a floor jack and a piece of wood.

I have the same axels as you and don't have any unusual sounds. I have the BMR poly inserts, and they cause plenty of their own NVH though.

I wasn't having any issues with the car. The car has a Vortech with a RXT and makes around 700whp. I'm sure the damage was done while previously at the track and launching with slicks. I typically run around on DR's, but I don't beat on the car on the street.

I replaced my stock driveshaft a short while ago after buying a used 1 piece from a fellow forum member. I was quite surprised to find how mangled the bolts were on the stock shaft when I went to replace it. I was glad I found this before going to the dragstrip the following day!

The early FRPP half shafts used a larger boot that sometimes would rub on the shocks. Although I didn't have that particular problem, when I sent my axels back to Gforce to have warranty work done for leaking cv joints, they told me about the newer boots and replaced those for me as well.

I have an RXT, MGW and BG fluids and have never had lockout issues of any kind. Those mods were installed last winter.
