that is interesting, b/c when I was cruising on the...
thank you TDC, talking to the master tech, he is leaning towards either wiring harness issue or PCM.
When you say update the PCM, do you mean a software update?
no, not yet fixed, car is in the shop
car is bone stock (other than the K&N air filter and camber plates), no auto-blip, no nothing, no tune, stock tire meaning stock diameter
Here is a list of what I + dealer have replaced
both clutch switches (very cheap), one is at the top of the clutch...
quickest way to test, is to rev hard in 3rd, 4th, and on 5th/6th right away check for cruise control.
if cruise control is not working, very very high chance this "jerking" will come back at constant speed
if you are having this issue, first thing is to get TSB 19-2090 done (or whatever is the latest one ) and specifically ask them to check for the "trigger wheel sensor" wear. they will have to remove your drive shaft meaning mid section exhaust would have to come off.
if you have code P0833...
P0833 code is associated with this issue, for some ppl like me. after they fix tell them to test cruise control first, if not working don't bother calling you in to pick up the car.
Mine is similar to yours, ONLY at highway cruising constant speeds, 5th year around 3k sounds exactly right. happens in 6th gear as well. never an issue on 1-4th.
the first thing i would recommend is to get TSB 19-2090 done at your dealer, ask them to check specifically for "trigger wheel...
nope, car is currently in the shop, they replaced the "trigger wheel sensor" and re-torqued some fringe nuts, the "jerk" is much much less now but wrench light still comes on
for most people tho, the TSB 19-2090 fixed the issue.
As TDC said, the easiest way is to check if your cruise control...
I ran the Porsche spec 102Y front as well with -2.5 camber, and yes the very outside edge is the weakest point, mine looks like yours as well. As soon as I can see the cord I change them.
talked to the tire shop guy at the track he said to add more camber.
i used P51 for track only, no curbs, and they cracked just like that after 2 seasons, front left wheel same as the picture = took too much force from braking
so no more "rotary forged" wheels for me for track
if you want a longer lasting track tire, forget about the original cup 2, you would have to get the Porsche spec with higher load rating. it is slower than the OEM cup2 but lasts at least 2x as long. all the fast guys with GT350 on my track without exceptions, run the Porsche spec.
it will be...
