2.5 years, 4200 miles. It's just a toy that I use when it's nice outside. And I have a take home car and motorcycle from work. Still has the new car smell from just sitting in the garage all the time.
My F350 with a 6.7 Powerstroke has a composite oil pan. It's pretty stout. I was a little uneasy about it at first but after 6 1/2 years without any issues I can say they're good. If they work fine on a large turbo diesel, they'll be fine on a 5.0. The drain plus is very easy to remove and...
I've had my car for a year now and I still have their service even tho I never renewed it. They send me letters to renew, but it's still activated. Could it be some sort of fluke? I like it, but not enough to renew it. I was under the impression that the trial subscription was for six months...
I know a lot of people here have been using the bolt between the rear seats as the ground. My question is this.... How would you connect the terminal from your ground wire to that large bolt. It's thick and its a 15mm bolt. None of the terminals I have would work on such a large bolt.
Hooking up to the fuse box seems way easier than connecting directly to the battery as I had originally planned. The thing that concerns me from the pic above is where the power wire enters the wheel well. Couldn't the wire chafe with the metal and short out?
Does anyone have a picture of the power wire connected to the battery and how it's routed around to the firewall? I really want ideas so I can connect my power wire...
Excellent write up. Before this I didn't feel comfortable enough to do an install like this. But you answered a lot of questions and now I feel confident. Thanks!
Hey Astolt, I had mentioned previously that my 2011 F350 powerstroke has the tick for about 1000 miles after an oil change. I know, completely different engine, but the tick sounds exactly the same. Dealer said that its normal and didn't do anything. I was and still am very disappointed but...
I changed the oil myself, but that's not the issue. They didn't even ask if I did. The truck is still under warranty. Mine didn't have the tick either when I bought it. I know how embarrassing it is having a $60k truck making a noise that sounds like the engine is shot. On the plus side, it's...
That's exactly how my 2011 F350 powerstroke sounds after I change the oil. It goes away after about 1000 miles after the oil change. I took it to the dealer and was told that it's normal, they even showed me a tsb from Ford saying that there's nothing wrong and to not attempt repair. Do a...
Just installed mine today. I got the SS street. I wanted the blacked out ones but the mbrp website states that the blacked out exhaust has a three year warranty while the SS has a lifetime warranty. That made my decision easy. The install was easy. It took me about 1.5 hours total by myself on...
I haven't done anything to mine other than the oil catch can and the no-drill front license plate bracket. I'm happy just the way it is. Maybe we'll see you there Friday but I am on call that day.
