Updating for information for others that may come across the issue I had in the first post.
I was finally able to get some free time to go through and finish the factory amplifier bypass successfully, and without the DSR1 (which I bought, still new in the plastic along with the matching...
So I checked over the forum and found a wiring diagram showing the detailed wiring on the factory amp and what the wires coming into and out of the amplifier were and proceeded to do my own amplifier bypass on my 2018 ecoboost.
Well, after installing all new component speakers (minus the center...
Not that he needs my vouch, but Need4SpeedMotors is a great one to go through. I have nothing but good to say about the company, communication, price, shipping..basically the entire purchase!
You can tell from the side pic I just posted that the front (20x9) is just about flat while the rear (20x10) has a decent concave to it.
If I had it to do over I would either do a 20x10 square or 10/11 offset
I would go with the 1400hp axles. The cost difference is minimal compared to the upgraded strength. I would upgrade the axles before going with radials, especially if you have a manual trans car.
The diff is actually really strong in these cars, so I doubt he would have an issue with breaking...
Yeah, I am going to try and make the next dyno day the local mustang club does and see what it puts down. I am guessing somewhere in the 550+whp range given the mph
So far my best time is an 11.85@123mph with a 1.99 60ft. I just don't have much time to play with the car and the last time at the track, I loaded the wrong config file so I didn't get any good data out of it.
Still pretty happy with how the car is turning out, just was really hoping for...
And I didn't even really do that great.
Swung by the track to play with the car some and see how the transmission tuning I have been messing with is doing compared to before. The track (Rockingham dragway) was holding a street outlaw / test n tune day today, no times on the board, and only...
Nice, I have been looking at the 2.9 whipple kit. I will have to continue to just look from a distance for a while, at least until we get a new house. 650whp should be attainable goal for you with 10lbs of boost given the supporting mods.
Right now I am on nitrous, still playing around on a...
I'm ready for the 2.25 scanner to be released. the 2.24 is rather limited on this platform for logging data vs mapped points etc.
I have tuned a few coyotes with the 2.25, but my 15 is the first auto and it has been a learning experience to say the least. Most of the engine parameters are...
Just wondering if anyone else is using software like SCT or HPTuners to do their own tuning? I use HPTuners software and other than limited scanner data I am really impressed with all of the parameters we have access to with it.
Really just seeing if anyone else self-tunes to bounce...
The car still has a lot left in it. I have been working on the tune going off the data I got on it yesterday. So far I have cut the shift times down from .6-.7 to .3-.4, and the timing can actually go up a few degrees. I was happy with how the car did, especially considering it was on a stock...
Got the chance to take the car out to the track today, still working on the tune, pretty conservative base tune for the nitrous (100 shot). I still have some work to do with the transmission tables, but Eric Brooks is really helping me out getting that stuff dialed in, just takes a lot of time...
That makes two of us. I am really hoping everything falls in place and I am able to make some solid runs at the track on Saturday. I will definitely post results, with and without the juice.
Im still waiting on the spark plugs to come in, hopefully have those by Wednesday and hopefully have time Friday to get those in and upload the new tune and see if I have fixed my trans issues, do a little logging to get everything squared away then do a few test runs with the nitrous.
Right...
