The point was that it is possible to keep the CMCV without doing Hardware or ECU Hex hacking now. In fact, the voltage adjustment in the ECU Software would be easier and cheaper then locking out I think. How ever, its a individual decision and both ways do work.
It should be possible to keep the full CMCV functionality without disable/ignoring the codes if you change the expected signal voltages from the CMCV Sensors in the '15 ECU. The Voltages differ between '15 and '18. Plus you need new cables (Y-cable) etc.
CMCV Voltages: See Post: [?] '18 Intake...
Especially if You keep the CMCV in combination with a good tune. The low end Torque curve will remain nearly the same as '15 stock, but you get gains throu the rest of the band and a plus in max. rpm.
Just if someone want to maintain the CMCV/IMRC functionality when installing the 18 manifold:
Since the latest VCM-Suite BETA (from HPtuners) it is possible to configure the Sensors now.
Reminder:
'15 ECU expects 4.00 V (open), 1.16 V (closed) or 1,24 V ??? (has to be confirmed)
but
'18er...
I saw some 350 driving around in Munich and they were very loud. So I guess it will pass the homologation with the stock exhaust.
The GT has a max. of 90db allowed with no exceptions (if I remember correctly).
Hi and welcome to Germany,
regarding "street legality" here my personal tip and experiance: Invest your bucks in performance instead of visuals and loud exhausts. Stay inside the noise and emmission limits and you'll be happy with your ride, Law enforcement and the TĂśV.
Let see it this way...
Wow, what a cool idea from ford. nice.
well thats a good base (3d Blueprint) for further 3d modeling work. and since its directly from ford maybe the most accurate.
Thx guys.
May I ask who the original Author of the nice Model in the OP is?
Reason: I would be maybe interested in making a GT350 virtual driveable for a good Racing sim. Of course with the goal to make most possible accurate physics based on the real data and susp. geo too.
But this could only happen If...
they'll not give out 350 for the GT price. But the idea is not too bad. Take the Insurance money, some chemical harm payment and put some bucks on top (if you have some right now) to get an 350. ;)
The sound is special and has a unique note. Very cool, a good mixture of muscle and pure energy. something like a relaxed 8000 rpm "baritone" ferrari. ;)
I fear that this GT350 is americas only :(
Any inside info about international availability (esp. Germany) yet?
I would not be very happy to do a personal import, but if there is no other way to get it, I would take the additional import and EUR modification costs if the specs are still that...
