21 HP in Track Mode, auto shifting, the WOT acceleration typically shifts at 7400rpm in the lower gears but the 6-7 shift occurs at 6800rpm. My research seems to indicate that one would need a tune to raise this shift point. Has anyone been successful in raising the 6-7 shift rpm point and who...
Recently installed the Essex AP Racing brake kits on my 21 M1 along with Wilwood MC4 e-brake components. For the front, I ordered the CP9668 kit and the CP9450 kit for the rear with nickel finish. Essex shipping was very fast and the kits have great documentation. Ordered DS3.12 pads for the...
Recently took a 3300 mile road trip in my M1 HP with Steeda dual rate springs and hit a ratchet tie down strap that didn’t clear the splash guard under the engine. This resulted in 4 holes in the splash guard that needed fixing.
I had removed my lower splitter for the road trip, this made the...
Got the M1 out for the first time in HP configuration in perfect weather. Also made some improvements, Steeda 2 piece rotors, DTC70f/60r pads, dual rate springs. The car felt really planted with the cup2 rubber.
I’ll be installing some dual rate springs in the near future, so I would like to run with the lower splitter on for track days, but take it off if I’m heading out for a road trip.
The first step was lower splitter removal, a small burr bit on a drill to provide a center for a pointed air hammer...
I stayed with my 265F-285R/35-19 PS4S rain/street tire setup for this track day since the temps on the way over to the track were in the upper 20’s. The track surface was still pretty cold for our first session at 9:30 and the grip really never occurred but our second session at 11:00 had...

Even with these tires, car was very predictable and performed nicely.
The DTC60F/30R pads, Steeda 2 piece front rotors, RBF660 fluid performed really good, nice...
I use the Motive bleeder by just using air pressure on the master cylinder to avoid the cleaning of the unit and the waste of brake fluid. I recently did a full fluid flush to a high temp brake fluid and it’s a lot of hand pumping every time you need to add fluid.
I added a 1/4NPT FxFxM tee...
The effort today was focused on removing the 3 set screws from the HP adjustable camber plates and adding about -1 degree of camber.
After leveling the car with floor tiles and fitting my hub stands on the front, I measured -1.3 degree of camber and 1/4” total toe in. I marked the factory...
Just installed these harnesses, they work nice! I got the Mustang 2018-2020 pro sets.
Remove rocker panel plastic - lift upwards
Remove back seat - 2 release latches under center of seats, push reward
Remove quarter panel plastic - start from rear and work forward
Remove two 50 torx bolts...
I'm not usually inspired by funnels, but @pilotgore sent me one of his 3D printed creations for a test fit on our Mach 1's and I am truly impressed with his innovations.
The funnel is available with dust cover caps for both ends and the funnel inserts into the fill tube in the same manner as...
Tried to access the recovery hook receiver by following the procedure below to remove the access cover, but even with considerably more pressure than “gently pressing”, the left side isn’t popping out. Anyone have any tips?
