I have an Ecoboost PP and am going to be driving it 2-3 times a month for the next six months. The time it is not driven it will be stored outside with a cover, where I live the temperatures range from 10 degrees to about 60 during the winter. I know to use premium fuel and an additive, but I'm not sure what type of oil to put in it. Any recommendations are very helpful!

With the price of Motorcraft oil, a 5 qt jug of 5w30 synthetic blend is like $30 by itself. You can get a name brand full synthetic for the same price or lower. Why go with an inferior product at the same price?

I' m in the same boat as you. When winter comes around I rarely drive it. When the temps and weather are right I try driving it 1 to 2 times a week.
I use Mobile 1 full synthetic because I like the brand.
As long as you use the correct weight 5W-30 and its full synesthetic its pretty much whatever brand you prefer. Just remember to keep up with your oil changes (I do every 3000 miles or 6 months. Whichever comes first) and you should have a healthy engine.

Is there any particular reason you choose 3000 miles/6 months? Ive seen people go as far as 10k miles and 1 year and have posted near perfect oil evaluation scores. I'm at just over 5k miles on mine and my oil life monitor is around 40%. Not quite sure when I'm going to change mine

Motorcraft is highly regarded on bobistheoilguy, and it's 18 bucks at Wally Word

I don't doubt it's highly regarded.

But bro, you lied to me. Motorcraft oil is a little over $20 and it's out of stock everywhere... Including their website and any store within 200 miles of me. I don't like being lied to.

Also, to the guy above that changes every 3,000 miles... You sure you aren't driving a 70s or 80s Mustang? You sure it's an S550? Might as well light money on fire. What a waste. And people wonder why oil is running out so quickly...

Here are 3 examples of it being in stock, less than $4 per quart. Just because it is not at any store within 200 miles of you doesnt mean he lied to you, BRO. Ever heard of Amazon? Its this cool website that ships things to you regardless of where you are located.

Easy there Pablo Picassbro. I was joking with the guy about the price. And we were strictly talking about the wall to wall mart.

I have Amazon Prime, I'm not old school like the guy above who changes his oil every 500 miles. Doesn't mean Amazon's price is good.
