Wondering if anyone is considering the Apex wheels VS-5RS group buy. I want to have a separate set of track wheels and these look pretty good and sturdy.
The width options are 10, 11 and 11.5". I'd be inclined to go the +0.5" wider option, (11" wide front and 11.5" rear) but I'm wondering if this is a "no particular advantage" situation. I don't think you can really run much wider tires up front or in the rear. Apex says the + 0.5" option requires a "track alignment" but don't specify what that is. My current track alignment is -2.5 front and -1.7 rear, not sure if that's enough or not. There doesn't appear to be all that much room in back for a much wider wheel and/or tire combo when I look at the rear on a lift.

The 19s are what I'm talking about. If you scroll down on the link, select Mustang, you will see the 19s group buy is open.

I was checking about those wheels but decided not to, because it means changing the tires to a different size. This is the link to their fitness guide: https://support.apexraceparts.com/h...5483093-S550-Mustang-Wheel-Tire-Fitment-Guide. I found that the only way to keep the OEM Mach 1 tire size (255x40x19 front and 275x40x19 back ) is to have their 19” x 9” with 34 mm offset in the front and 19” x 10” with 40mm offset in the back. As you can see from the screen shot, those size wheels are not available in the group buy. They were available in the SM-10 group buy but I don’t really like that design.

Yeah, not sure what those wheels do on the standard Mach 1. I have the HP so my wheels are a bit wider.

I'll consider 11f/11.5r if I can get them in silver.

Just purchased a set from them but like the VS-5RS. Can we get 20% off?

If it's for a track set go square 19x11 ET52 and install spacers and wheel studs on the front that way you can rotate tires front to rear and this way you can get more out of a set of tires for the track. You want to improve your tire expenses as much as possible when you have the chance.

I think that's a really good idea. Especially when tires are going to run $400-500 each. I think I might change my order based on this advice. Thank you.

I am contemplating running the 17x10 with a 305/45r17 MT ET Street SS as a rear drag pack. Anyone done this? Spec on the wheel looks like it would fit and match the PP2 wheels well I have on the car currently.
