Thanks for the quick heads up!
Just called dealer who found my 2015 Vin is indeed in need of a re-repair from 2017.
Ford is designing a better pawl and will alert dealers "early 3rd quarter" for campaign.
Hold those door handles till then!
Yup, Recirc will only stay locked if center vents are the only flow chosen.
Windshield and/or floor vents will cycle back to fresh after 9 minutes.
Normal; prevents fogging.
My warranty invoice indicates: A/C Compressor "coming apart" but no Evaporator issue found.
I had asked...
Air conditioning compressor began emitting an rpm-dependent whine last week.
Had the snowflakes about 10 days ago once the weather cooled here in Virginia..
Lost cooling and compressor started to whine with engine speed whenever any A/C was active.
(Windshield, etc..)
I'm not sure if you meant "what" vs "that". ;)
But if the latter, then yes the noise appeared on the way home from the Latch Repair.
Sadly, No Richmond dealer can ever "re-create issues" here.
2nd A/C visit planned for next week.
Less than 6 months ago, dealer "replaced leaking schrader valve and recharged refrigerant".
Stayed frosty till 2 weeks ago; driver side warmer than passenger vent .
Just like 6 months ago.
Purchased the 120k mile BaseCare Ford Ext Warranty explicitly for...
Looks like the '17 Cali 'Stangs are rather dear...
Even with the current $2,500 cash offer.

After several weeks, my A/C is now running perfectly despite recent 95F days.
While I have my original factory Evaporator, if your diagnosis is correct it may be that the Overcharge has slowly leaked out enough to be in spec.. ! Ha!
For Now anyway. LOL.
5,000 more Factory Warranty left so...
