Hi, no issues with the ppf, the dealer and approval of the claim. The hood was replaced. Ppf application has nothing to do with the issue. Issue is the result of iron particles imbedded in aluminum from manufacturing process and starts below the paint. Good luck. You should be fine. If not...

Hi, sorry to hear about your hood. My car had ppf on the hood (full wrap) when the issue was reviewed by the dealer. It was covered under warranty. Ford did not cover the initial ppf install citing it was not done through them.

Through the dealer. I would get a Ford CSR involved if the dealer is not cooperating. In my case no questions were asked and it was approved through Ford in about 1.5 weeks.

If you are within the 5 year warranty this is covered under the aluminum corrosion warranty and Ford will replace the hood. If you try to repair it, the corrosion will return. Waiting over 3 months now for my hood....on backorder.

Hi, The warranty request for a new hood was approved in early November (about a week and a half after submittal). I was told the hood is on back order and at this point I don't expect to see it until the new year (Jan/Feb) at the earliest.

Hi, I would check your drive shaft. Bar code lable maybe spinning off and hitting body. I had a similar issue a few years back and this was it! Good luck.
