I have a whipple on an A6 and it's extremely fun on the street. Don't plan on tracking it. I've got a 4.0 0-60 with a fairly mild launch to get it rolling and then put the hammer down. Still spun some but lays down the power well on 305's. From a roll, it's a rocket and not many cars on the...
I went Whipple and my install should be done in a day or so. I am like you, not looking to over do the horsepower so my tires go up in smoke all the time and traction is a constant issue. From talking to others on the board, flight control will help you adjust the power so you can hook up well...
This is my first FI car and I am trying to decide which tires to go with. I am at about 620 rwhp with 3.15 gears. It's a weekend car mostly with occasional DD. Probably won't 1/4 mile it, looking for the best street performance in a straight line. I know the pro's and con's of a DOT DR versus...
Hey guys, looking for some input on tires for my auto GT with a whipple. Making 625 rwhp, lowered on eibach pro's and BMR lockout kit. I have 20x10's on the rear. Looking at nitto options.
Looking for good traction from a dig on the STREET. Won't 1/4 mile it...so street performance is...
Nope...no one bad mouthed the KB kit. Heard really good things about it from lots of folks. I knew it was CARB legal and not only a track blower. I know there are many happy KB owners out there. Travis and Jeff spent time with me and I was impressed with their knowledge and shop!
The...
As you know, I looked at KB too. Glad you like the KB. The good thing for us all is that we have lots of good options (KB, paxton, TVS, whipple, etc) to choose from so we can all be happy with what worked best for us...
How's it hook on the street? What tires? Any suspension mods? I've got 3.15's and hope not to have to dial it down by 25% like you guys with the 3.73's to get it to hook well.
Just curious if anyone is using flight control to lower HP on the street? I've seen some posts about guys liking the ability flight control offers to lower HP when they want. Is anyone using it for the street? Not talking about wet weather...normal conditions to get the car to hook better...
Installing a whipple in a couple of weeks and need to replace my invo's on the rear. It's a street car, thinking of going with 305/35r20 Mickey Thompson ET SS's on the rear. I have invo's on the front. Is it ok to keep the invo's up front or what should I run with the MT's?
Sent you a PM...don't want to turn this into another whipple vs. KB debate. I really like both kits a lot. Travis and Jeff at Boostworks are top notch! In the end, I thought whipple gave me a couple of advantages for what I am looking for.
